I can't make up my mind, what do you think is better and why? (for psion i would need a disipline too)

PS no outside material as far a psionics go, i only have EPH

Very much psion. Only go wilder if you want an extremely focused artillery platform and plan on PrCing by 12th level.

In my opinion, the wilder is a very badly designed class, with very few worthwile class abilities, and apparently I'm not the only one (if only for all of the 'fixes' proposed on these boards).

If you want a psion, the discipline you should choose depends on what kind of character you want to play. So...what kind of character do you want to play? Any ideas for your place in the party, fluff you want to fill, or the kinds of things you like to do during the game (in battle and out)?

Unless you can convince your DM to alter the Wild Surge class "ability" of the Wilder .. you're better off taking Psion and using the extra feats you get for Overchannel, Talented and Psionic Meditation ... You end up with more Powers, more options (a few spare feats), and better class skills ...

I'm for the wilder, in a game I'm currently playing my character is a 6th level Elan Wilder. A wilder only receives a small number of powers when compared to the psion, so your not very versatile, but you can blow up a yak from a thousand yards away with mind bullets. :D

Which prestige classes would you suggest for a wilder? What about the Mind Eye article that allows you to tweak the Wilder with Expanded Knowledge or a Mantle?

ANY .. the real "trick" to the Wilder (as written - assuming no houserules) is that you pretty much need to get into a PrC (ANY PrC) to remain effective at higher level .. (as mentioned, Wild Surge gets worse the higher your Wilder level .. not character level).

I got into Constructor with Wilder in 1 campaign .. it was pretty good ... I still wish I had gone Thrallherd, however ... much more synergy with the Wilder's naturally higher Charisma ... :tiphat:

If you can convince your DM that the Complete Psionics Anarchic Initiate Pre-reqs are in error (ie Knowledge: Planes) ... then you could probably aim for that ... as it "appears" to be built for the Wilder ... save that little "typo" (?)

Elocator is neat as well for Wilder .. but really hard to get into due to the Feat pre-reqs ... doable .. but requires some careful planning.

Slayer (or Illithid Slayer) is an option as well ....

Meh. It's easy to manage the prerequisites for anarchic initiate at wilder 1. Of course, you'll need 4 levels of psion, too, but meh.
