| brahmin02-23-07, 01:49 PM | i've played a psionic cleric character up to 5th a while back and am now getting back into the campaign. when i relooked at my character and reread how things work, i realized that i messed up his power selection because i misunderstood the practiced manifester (ardent) feat. my DM has been kind enough to let me redo my character's power list to fix the mistake, but i have to keep all existing purchases, including my mantles. what i have so far: 1. cleric 1 feat: elan resilience, enhanced bonus feat from shaky flaw (unearthed arcana option, allowed by the DM): augment healing domains: war (longsword) and travel 2. ardent 1 primary mantles: good and physical power power selected: vigor (1 - physical power) 3. cleric 2 feat: practiced manifester (ardent) 4. ardent 2 secondary mantles: freedom power selected: psionic prot from evil (1 - good) 5. cleric 3 >>> I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions about what I should do in my future levels. i want to keep a balance of manifester and caster level. my goal is to start taking the psychic theurge PrC (mind's eye) at 7th, but i wondered if there were better options for me. i have access to all resources, such as mind's eye, XPH (obviously), complete psionic, hyperconscious, and untapped potential. ghostbreaker (hyperconscious) looks interesting, while so does the healing PrC from mind's eye (sang-something or other) and the psychic chirugeon (hyperconscious); my goal is to primarily use the cleric spells to party/self heal and buff, and suplement the power points from ardent with buffs and elan racials to reduce damage and improve saves. i know it's impossible to get 9th level powers and cleric spells, but i can get 7th level spells or powers for one class and 9th level spells or powers in the other by 20th level. just trying to see if anyone has any suggestions for me. please help! thanks in advance... |

If you want to be a psionic healer (rather than a multiclass cleric/ardent), I would recommend playing an egoist (though I think you could use ardent) and take the sangheirn prestiege class at the first opportunity. |

I would personally go: Ardent 1/Cleric2/Ardent 1/Cleric +1/Psychic Theurge 10/XXX 5 XXX: PrC with +1 divine spellcasting class. with practised manifester, you get an effective ML of 16, which could let you have 8th level powers if needed (you may have to take a XXX level before finishing Psychic Theurge to maximize the possibility of taking higher level powers) As you will be saving your immediate action for elan racial abilities, you should take powers that capitalize the swift/immediate actions, like Damp Power, for example. Also, remember to take mend wounds: the Mass augment is quite nice. |
