| ReverendBSB09-24-07, 01:22 PM | Picked up the 3.0 Psionics Handbook just to complete my collection. Read through it and its pretty bad. But one thing I would like to have is the Psionic Combat. I always liked the flavor off mind to mind battles. Has anyone ever seen anything done with the Psionic Combat rules to make them better? |

But one thing I would like to have is the Psionic Combat. I always liked the flavor off mind to mind battles. Has anyone ever seen anything done with the Psionic Combat rules to make them better? Setting them aflame? Just make sure you run very fast if you see green smoke and hear a sound like children crying as though from a great distance; if you're not quick enough, having a priest on speed-dial is a wise fall-back plan. After the cleansing ritual, pick up Hyperconscious -- it has a much better psionic combat system called the Mindscapes system in it. Incidentally, this is covered (somewhat) in the FAQ, but it isn't answered directly since it's an infrequent question. |
| ReverendBSB09-24-07, 01:39 PM | Thanks. I'm going to pick that up next time I am at the game store. |
| CrimsonDeath09-24-07, 02:32 PM | It's 3rd party, though, just in case that matters. |
| ReverendBSB09-24-07, 02:34 PM | No, as long as it fits in easily. I managed to find a PDF of it to check out, and it looks good so i'm going to pick it up at the store tomorrow. |
| CipherTheory09-24-07, 02:37 PM | Edit: N/M. What I wanted to say got said. My typing is too slow. |
| Bacris09-24-07, 10:56 PM | Mindscapes is one of the nicer psionic combat systems out there - it's easy to integrate, or easy to ignore, and isn't game-breaking. Along with the rest you get in Hyperconscious, it's definitely worth the cost. |
