| SavagePoetry03-20-07, 09:55 AM | For an upcoming campaign I got this idea: crusaders usually "rely on flashes of divine inspiration to use their martial maneuvers"...But what if these were instead"flashes of insight" from one's boiling subconscious? This could be a reflavoring of the randomness due to our impossibility to exert control upon our Es(my psychology degree taints everything!)...The healing capabilities become a kind of "psyche up"...Also Stone Dragon could be related to the Earth Dream(from Races of Stone) and White Raven could be put as a bit more telepathic than shouted orders...I thought of removing the alignment related maneuvers and stances (counter-balanced by the possibility to take psionic feats) and change the skill list to be a little more psi-friendly, like taking out balance, craft, Knowledge(history) and ride to put in autohypnosis, Knowledge(psionics) and maybe sense motive... This variant may also need a new name...Any thoughts? Would it be balanced? Thanks in advance for your help and sorry if my english isn't perfect! |

I think this is one of those great instances of re-flavoring that more people need to do, instead of making incredibly specific classes. Well done, in my opinion. Swapping some class skills to something that would make more sense is plenty fine. Also, if you drop the alignment manuevars, go ahead and give them wild-talent as a bonus feat. |
