CrimsonDeath 06-11-07, 07:29 PM	If you're using psionics in the first place, you'd probably be using the psionic Aboleth presented in the Expanded Psionics Handbook, which has Psionic Dominate as a psi-like ability instead of the unique Enslave ability. Defenses that apply against psionics should be fully effective, even if they don't apply against magic. If you're not using the psionic Aboleth for some reason, you should probably apply psionic-specific defenses anyway since the Aboleths' other spell-like abilities are described as being psionic in nature. Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with Meenlocks, but a similar train of logic should be applicable one way or the other.
Lycanthromancer 06-11-07, 08:26 PM	If you're using psionics/magic transparency, then any magical/psionic/racial defensive measures should work just fine. If not...well...you're screwed. DON'T USE NONTRANSPARENCY.
AntiDjinn 06-11-07, 09:00 PM	Using the standard XPH rules, if a power enhances your saving throw then it helps against an effect that calls for that type of saving throw. For example, Empty Mind gives you a +2 bonus on Will saves until your next action. If an effect (spell, power, ability, or whatever) calls for a Will save then Empty Mind applies regardless of the type of effect. This is also true for powers that allow you to reroll a failed save.
Lycanthromancer 06-11-07, 09:02 PM	Oh, and psionic mind blank specifically specifies any mind-affecting effect, regardless of whether it is magical or psionic. Magical mind blank doesn't have the same stipulation. So...um...yeah.

Wait, are you using the Expanded psionics handbook or the Psionics handbook? If your using Expanded Psionics Handbook: The Power Mind-Blank grants blanket immunity to mind-effecting effects. The Power Empty Mind gives you a +2 bonus on Will saves until your next action.
