| Megido09-10-07, 02:06 PM | Having a bit of a problem with the feat Psionic Hole. Heres the situation, a Psionic Warrior with Psionic Weapon has just activated his feat and struck someone with Psionic Hole. Does the Psionic Weapon still go off or is it sucked into the hole first? Ive tried using the search on these boards to find the answer but I must be search function deficient because I can never find the answer to most of my questions. :weep: |
| Bacris09-10-07, 02:25 PM | You have to expend focus before you even validate the attack lands - by the time the attack lands, focus has already been expended, so it would still work. At least, that's how I read it. |
| Thomar_of_Uointer09-10-07, 10:42 PM | As Bacris said, you expend focus before you attack, and you lose focus when you hit. That means that you don't lose it, because you don't have it when you would lose it. |
| AntiDjinn09-11-07, 02:23 AM | Not only does he not loose his focus to the psionic hole (because he expended before the dice even hit the table) but, as I read it, he isn't even alerted to the presence of the feat. He didn't have his focus sucked away, and he didn't have to pay additional points if he hasn't targeted the foe with a power, so he hasn't experienced any effect from the feat and therefore has no reason to suspect it is there. |
