AntiDjinn 07-19-07, 01:27 AM	Even if you could make it Duration: Permanent, you would be sorry if you ever failed a save vs. a compulsion. This is because the descriptive text of Schism says that if you fail such a save the Schism ends (there is a second save to see if you are affected, but Schism is over in any case once you fail that first save). This text is not part of the Duration line of the power, which is the only parameter altered by Incarnate and similar. Also, it says that such an event causes the power to end, not that it is dispelled. Dispelled permanents effects can be reactived, effects that have ended are not defined as such.

No. Permanent spell effects from permanency can be dispelled as normal. The only exception are those you make permanent on yourself which can only be dispelled by a caster who has a higher level than you were when you made the effect permanent. This was another reason I created Incarnation.
