Psionic Planeshifter [Archive] - Wizards Community

05-22-07, 10:02 PM This is part of my personal ongoing effort to develop psionics more to be at least on part with the versitility of magic.

I really like the feel of the Planeshifter prestige class from the Manual of the Planes, and I'm attempting to make a Psionic version of it. To that end, I'd like to enlist the help of this board.

My work so far:

Requirements: Change Spellcraft 10 ranks to Psicraft 10 ranks, Change Craft Wonderous Item to Craft Universal Item, Change "Able to cast 5th level spells" to "Able to manifest 5th level powers". Special requirement left as-is.

Class Skills: Change Spellcraft to Psicraft, Update to 3.5 skills obviously, add survival, add autohypnosis

Plane Shift spell-like ability unchanged, except change to psi-like ability.

Caster progression unchanged, becomes manifester level progression.

Analyze Portal: Not sure what to do with this yet. Leave unchanged?

Planar Survival: Unchanged

Morphic Stability: Unchanged

Grant Planar Survival: Unchanged

Control Planar Flux: Must be replaced with something else I think.

Telepathy: Unchanged

Planar Area Swap: Unchanged

Demiplane Seed: Unchanged

I need suggestions on whether the above abilities need to be changed, and what to replace them with if so. Any ideas?

05-22-07, 10:29 PM I'm not sure why you demand that you require being able to manifest psionic plane shift as a 5th level power. It seems that it kinda screws with elocators (was that your intention?). What about "able to manifest 5th level powers and able to manifest psionic plane shift."

Could just make it "Able to manifest 5th level powers" since planeshifter gets planeshift 1/day anyway. I'll change that.
