When using magic-psionics transparency, do you merge the equivalent skills?

For example:
Psicraft = Spellcraft
Use Psionic Device = Use Magic Device
Knowledge (psionics) = Knowledge (arcana)

I'm not sure what the norm is, I couldn't find any mention in the XPH, but of those I'd be least inclined to merge the knowledge skills, but merging the other two makes a certain amount of sense.

Transparency only covers two things:
1) powers/spells which affect other powers/spells
2) power/spell resistance

Skills and feats are not transparent.

By default, you don't. A lot of DMs merge Psicraft/Spellcraft and Use Magic/Psionic device. A lot don't. I don't know of anyone who merges Knowledge (Arcana) and Knowledge (Psionics).

I did for one game. I used knowledge (supernature), use supernatural device, and supernaturecraft. I know, I know, the names are terrible. Anyway, knowledge (supernature) combined knowledge of all the mystical hubbidy-wubbits in the world. Some other aspects of knowledge (arcana) were moved out to other skills. Knowledge (religion) remained.
