Has anyone come up with a manifester with ToB Sword Sage paradigm? ToB mentions an option for trading out spells for a Sword Sages maneuvers.

I like that the Sword Sage can recover spent maneuvers by expending an action.

I have been toying with the idea of a psion-like manifester that could spend actions (of varying degrees) to recover pp.

Iron Heroes has a similar mechanic for building up token pools.

I think something along these lines could be a good solution to the psionic nova problems that I have run into in the past. This psion/sword sage hybrid would have a smaller pool of pp, but have the ability to recover pp once spent.

Has anyone here explored this concept already?

Does anyone think that this is an avenue worth exploring (i.e. not worth wasting my time)?

I am interested in hearing other people’s opinions on this.

It could be doable, but the powers shouldn't scale up in power in the same way they do with manifesters, if at all.

This question has been brought up a lot, but as far as I know nobody has ever made one. More often people just say "divide their power point pool by 4, and let them recover points at a rate of x per hour".

Wizards Of The Coast has, however, made a psychic that uses the same per-encounter paradigm as Tome Of Battle -- the Jedi's in the new StarWars Saga system.
