Psychic weapon master [Archive] - Wizards Community

07-16-07, 12:33 PM I am thinking about building a Lesser Drow Kineticist6\Warblade2, then I would take Psychic weapon master. What do you think about this build?

1st, 3rd, 6th, plus 2 bonus psionic feats at Kineticist 1 and 5.

Am I missing something?

07-16-07, 02:01 PM I think it gets better and better as you get more Psychic Weapon Master levels, but it starts out (in my opinion) pretty slow.

Are you starting at 1?

07-16-07, 04:55 PM he's already taking quite a hit to BAB, though... At 8th level, bab 5 is worse than straight-up psychic warrior. And only 2 levels of psychic warrior isn't any better bab-wise than kineticist...

Sages, have you considered simply waiting another level? You could keep everything the same about your build, and put your 9th level feat towards the Psychic Weapon Master's requirements.

07-16-07, 06:07 PM I'd second Psychic Warrior. Kineticists drain their points VERY quickly, and he's already taking a SERIOUS ML hit by going into psychic weapon master (oh, and a serious base attack hit with a mage-type buildup...).

07-16-07, 06:54 PM That is my dilemma, Psychic Warrior7 or Kineticist6\fighter2.
If I go with Kineticist6\fighter2 I have more PP and better power selection(Damp power, vigor, share pain, energy adaptation).
Would it be good if I take the Lolth touched template with 4 to STR and CON instead of usual 6(My DM thinks that 6 is too much for LA1)?

07-16-07, 07:45 PM Honestly, the Psychic Warrior has the better power selection for any sort of physical combat.
Vampiric blade, strength of my enemy, psionic lion's charge, dissolving weapon, etc..

Psychic Warriors also get damp power, vigor, and energy adaptation. But they get powers that are better than these as well.

07-17-07, 05:02 AM Why not wait until PW 8? You get a point of BAB, a manifester level, a PW feat, even a fort save bump. Anyway, I suppose praticed manifester is practically necessary on that one, right?
