Or would this be handled like a sunder attempt? Can the animated weapon perform attacks such as charge/disarm/trip/...? If so what are its ability scores for any opposed checks envolved? Does a scorpion kama (MiC) still deal damage as if it was your unarmed strike if it has been animated by the power? |

I'm honestly not sure whether attacks against it would be handled as normal attacks or as sunder attempts. Sunder attempts would probably be easier to rule, since its attack bonus is defined but its Dexterity modifier isn't. It should be able to make charge and disarm attacks normally. If it's a weapon capable of making trip attacks, it should be able to make those too. Since it uses your Wisdom modifier instead of your Strength modifier for attack rolls and damage, it makes sense to use that on opposed Strength checks as well. For trip, disarm, and sunder attacks, remember that a light weapon is usually an object two size categories smaller than its wielder, a one-handed weapon is one size category smaller, and a two-handed weapon is the same size category. (Also note that the power doesn't appear to distinguish between weapons sized for different creatures.) For disarm and sunder attacks, remember the bonuses for two-handed weaons and the penalties for light weapons. The Scorpion Kama probably deals normal kama damage, since its item slot is listed as "-- (held)" and you aren't actually holding it. |
