Question on Practiced Mind Blade [Archive] - Wizards Community

Just saw this feat out of Dragon 341, basically a Practiced Spellcaster for soulknives. It says it increases your SK level for the purposes of your mind blade, but cannot give you abilities you don't already have. I know this would increase your blade's enhancement bonus and special abilities. But what about psychic strike damage (assuming you already have it)? Would that also fall under the caveat of "soulknife special abilities" that would be improved with this feat? Any help would be appreciated.

I don't have the feat available to read, but, acting under the assumption that it function like Practiced Spellcaster, except reworded better than Practiced Manifester was, it would only increase your Mindblade ability. The Soulknife's Mind Blade ability has the enhancement bonus, but not the special abilities, in it, so that is what would be increased, not Psychic Strike or Mind Blade Enhancement abilities. I can't be quoted though, as I don't have the feat to look at.

It says, "mind blade and mind blade special abilities." The feat itself is in the feats list on crystalkeep.com. Wondering if psychic strike damage would fall under special abilities or not.

The feat's on the list, but it's not described. Still, based on what you said, it would improve your Mind Blade and Mind Blade Enhancement class features, but still not Psychic Strike. Although you really shouldn't be using it, what with the Mind's Eye providing you with the wonderful alternative class features for the Soulknife, one of which is a collection of bonus feats that you get in exchange for Psychic Strike.
