Ranger-psionicist hybrid feats: PEACH [Archive] - Wizards Community

06-09-07, 01:52 PM Hey, I've been thinking up some concepts involving psionics, and wanted to make feats similar to the Ascetic X, Devoted X, etc. to improve synergies between various classes. They are quite powerful (comparable to daring outlaw and swift hunter), but the base classes tend to have some problems working together right now. Can anyone give his opinion?

- Psionic hunter:
requires: favored enemy feature, a PP reserve of at least 4 PP.
Benefits:ranger and 1 psionic class stack for favored enemy bonuses, manifester level and extra PP due to ability scores.

- Mindblade hunter:
requires: favored enemy feature, psychic strike feature.
Benefits: ranger and soulknife levels stack for favored enemy bonuses, psychic strike and (getting and calculating) the mindblade enhancement feature. Add the bane enhancement (only for creature types the character has as favored enemies) to the enhancements the character can imbue his mindblade with.

- Ascetic mindblade
requires: still mind, psychic strike feature.
Benefits: monk and soulknife levels stack for determining unarmed damage, flurry of blows, and the psychic strike features. Add any form of mindblade to the monk weapon list.

- Mind-imbued strikes
requires: Ascetic mindblade, mindblade enhancement, ki strike (magic)
Benefits: Add monk and soulknife levels for determining the possible mindblade enhancements. A character can choose to enhance his unarmed strikes with the enhancements he can bestow upon his mindblade. When unarmed attacks are thus enhanced, their damage increases by one size category

06-09-07, 03:04 PM Hmm, mine seem a bit stronger. Hoperfully not too strong, I guess, although imo soulknife isn't exactly a powerhouse, and most psionic classes do not benefit from almost anything that doesn't improve their PP pool.
