For example, can someone make an Item of Expansion that increases you two size categories instead of just one (an augment costing 6pp normally)?

02-20-08, 12:17 PM I believe you craft it at a higher manifester level, which apparently also raises the effective power level. This makes the item more expensive. So while a normal dorje of expansion would cost 375 * 1 (power level) * 1 (manifester level) =375gp, you need one that costs 375 * 4 (power level) * 7 (manifester level) = 10,500gp. Assuming I'm reading the craft dorje feat correctly.

02-20-08, 01:01 PM It's easy enough to do it with a dorje, a psicrown, a powerstone, or a tatoo, but I bet you want it as a universal item.

As a universal item, you have to price it by it's affect on your character. Turning huge gives you a +4 bonus to strength, so start with a Belt Of Giant's Strength +4 (16,000 gp). You also get extra reach, so add in the cost of Greatreach Bracers (2,000 gp), but keep in mind they only work for 1 round 3 times per day. I know there's some item that lets you wield weapons too big for you, but I can't find it. Anyway, add all those up and then deduct what seems like a fair price for all the penalties you also get from being huge.

There's also the Belt Of Growth in the MIC for 3,000gp. It makes you Large for 10 minutes once per day.

02-20-08, 02:27 PM Dorje rules don't apply here if you want a Universal Item, because a Universal Item, even use-activated, does not require the special knowledge of a dorje / power stone / psicrown.

Power level x Manifester level x 2000 gp

Given I would not expect a DM to allow an augmented power to NOT increase the power level cost, that means 4x7x2000gp = 56,000 gp.
