| Toloran06-08-07, 12:18 PM | Q: Dear Sage, The list of lurk augments (Complete Psionic, 15) includes “Reach Attack,” but no definition of that augment exists. What does it do? --Michael A: The damage from armor spikes is dealt when you make a successful grapple check made for the purpose of dealing damage (the “Damage Your Opponent” option, PHB p156). More proof that the Sage doesn't actually read the question or is a robot. |

| Salla06-08-07, 12:45 PM | At this point, I'm willing to chalk this up as a web-editor error, as IIRC, that's the solution to a previous question. Someone probably just typoed the date or something. |
| Khan the Destroyer06-08-07, 01:16 PM | It seems simple enough. You can only deal armor spike damage in a grapple if there is a lurk augmenting an attack with Reach Attack. But as usual, this just compounds the problem. Does the lurk have to be adjacent? Does the lurk have to attack the opponent you're grappling? I eagerly await the answers to these questions. |
| awaken_D_M_golem06-09-07, 03:38 PM | ;) So a Lurk 6 with the +2 Lurk Augment level feat, and a CO-Board Reach build 14, and Armor Spikes, can ... grapple at a distance and perhaps "swing" like Spider-man, except in just 2-dimensions, across battlefields of angry sage 'haters' ?! It's an (EX) Dimension Door that does 1d3 of damage, too. Maybe Mary-Jane wanted some stubble for that kiss. |

Me: (rolls dice - success) Was that a mental image illusion ?? DM: nods Me: Drat!! I liked the (ex) Dimension Door in 2 dimensions. I also liked the kiss with stubble. Me: Are you sure that was an illusion? DM: nods, Are you done? Me: yep. |
| celestialkin06-13-07, 10:45 PM | Based off this thread, and all the threads which have been linked here, doesn't anyone else feel that this is Wizard's way off telling us to f@&% off? Like someone else mentioned, they haven't even chosen to answer questions which we've been asking for. I'd write in to complain about this, but I have a feeling they wouldn't care less. I wouldn't be surprised if they completely removed Psionics from 4.0, and I'm starting to believe it's a real possibility. |
