07-29-07, 11:53 PM I'm building a level 1 Psionic character for tomorrow, I want him almost nothing but roleplay based.

I want him to be a seer, and i'm wondering what would be the best feats/powers/class available. He's not allowing any arcane of any type, but I really want Augry.

So far for Feats I want Dreamtelling from HoH. But what else?

07-30-07, 04:14 PM It'd be nice if you were able to manifest powers like sensitivity to psychic impressions more quickly.

Not that I know how, mind you, but it would be nice.

07-30-07, 05:00 PM Object Reading can be surprisingly effective in information gathering, and makes you a good medium. Don't go overboard. Your seer still needs to adventure, and a Defensive Precognition that keeps him/her alive is not a waste of your powers. Also, psions only know a few powers, so avoid duplication and overspecialisation. That way, when someone is in a dead spot to your main trick (Telepaths and mind-affecting immunity springs to mind), which, for you, is combat in general, you aren't totally useless. Just take some predictive powers, then use them intelligently. Then take some combat powers (including debuffs; Entangling Ectoplasm is surprisingly useful in a number of situations) and use them wisely.

07-31-07, 01:14 AM Grease is also an excellent debuff power, especialy if you have a rogue in the party. Remember, any creature with less than 5 ranks in balance is flat footed while balancing.

Energy ray and crystal shard are extremely good damage dealing powers. Energy ray will get less reliable as you face more enemies with SR and ER, but for level 1 that shouldn't be a problem. The only problem is that you'll bleed power points if you try to use these powers too often. In any case, only choose one for now. Having both would be redundant.

Matter agitation is a fantastically efficient power. For one power point, you can deal a lot of damage. I would suggest picking this one up instead of energy ray or cyrstal shard, if you want to save your power points for things othr than dealing HP damage.
