Skin of Ectoplasmic Armor, Enchantable? [Archive] - Wizards Community

Can an Ectoshell be enchanted with an armor bonus...either magically or psionically? It isn't technically armor and yet it is. +3 skin of armor? Sounds wrong to me somehow.

Strictly speaking, no. Just like a shirt in that regard; it's not actually armor.

I wouldn't find it unreasonable, given how much of it you lose if it is dispelled (i.e. *all* of it for 1d4 rounds), though.
