07-24-07, 10:49 AM Does the Society Mind's (Untapped Potential) telepathy ability qualify for the Mindsight feat (Lords of Madness)? If it does than a Society Mind could have Mindsight with an infinite range, even across other planes.

It's not an exact copy of the Telepathy special quality, so it wouldn't RAW qualify, but it's close enough that I'd allow it.

HOWEVER, since the society mind's telepathy has a range of "within your worldthought network", you could mindsight only those people already in your network. Network Sense lets you do this already to some extent.

Incidentally, if you feel like allowing mindsight to the dreamscarred as well, I wouldn't disallow it, provided it shared a similar limit (namely, only creatures that the telepathy could already reach).

...which is already the case with Network Sense, provided you expend focus to send out the equivalent of the radar pulse (or the "ping", if you continue the developer gag of using internet terminology...). Mindsight just makes it faster and more efficient.
