heavenisme 12-28-07, 02:25 AM	Yet another Noob question: How many powers can the crystal maintain the concentration of with Solicit Psicrystal? For example I use Deflection Field & Solicit Psicrystal to maintain it, then manifest Telekinetic Force the following round, can I also place it under my psicrystals control?
Bacris 12-28-07, 03:52 AM	1. Concentrating to maintain a power is a standard action that does not provoke attacks of opportunity. Unless your psicrystal has more than one standard action. :)

I'm sensing a Kineticist/Slayer gish with Solicit PC and EK:Schism, control body for fighting, lock components like TK Maneuver, Energy Current, Control Sound and/or Control Winds, all while manifesting debuffs, wall effects and buffs to make it run smoothly.

He's not manifesting any mind-affecting powers on his psicrystal. Control body is manifested on the psion. The Big Guy Is With me doesn't use control body, since a metamorphosed psicrystal is pretty BA without it.

InkBlot 12-28-07, 02:38 PM	The psicrystal is immune to schism. Unlike Share Spells, Share Powers doesn't bypass immunities/type restrictions.

CrimsonDeath 12-29-07, 03:17 PM	Is "Share Spells" an ability of the psicrystal or the manifester? If it's an ability of the psicrystal, wouldn't it lose "Share Spells" when it's under the effects of Metamorphosis?
InkBlot 12-29-07, 03:27 PM	Psicrystals (and the Psions who love them) don't get Share Spells. If they did, we wouldn't have to muck about with metamorphosis.
Lycanthromancer 12-30-07, 02:37 PM	Actually, the psicrystal abilities are mostly (Su) and (Ps) abilities - and since they're based on class levels (of the manifester, to be precise), these are still safe, as the psicrystal is still your 'familiar' even when its form is altered. Thus, you can metamorph it into a hydra that can still fly. :D
