Hi!

I've got two questions:

1.) If a soulbow 'imbues' his mindblade / arrows with the dislocator ability: He'll still be limited to three uses of the ability per day, am I correct? The alternative interpretation would be that the mind arrows are a shaped form of the mindblade which (according to the XPH) is newly created by the character each time he ... well ... 'creates' it thus having a new weapon with three new uses of the weapon special ability. Now, which interpretation is correct?

2.) As 1.) was probably asked before but I didn't have a few hours of time to browse through the threads of the last months I'm again amazed by the fact that there is no search function here in the Wizards boards. Why's that? :P

Mind arrow and mind blade are separate abilities and can, in fact, be used simultaneously. Mind arrows aren't a shaped anything. Also, he may have the ability to project as many arrows as he likes, but the power that enhances them comes from one source: his mind.

I'm sorry, but where did you find the soulbow? I've been looking for something like that for ages...

The Soulbow is in Complete Psionic. It's one of the few gems in there (along with the Lurk, the Ardent, the Ebon Saint, the Illumine Soul, the Erudite, and a handful of feats and powers).

Edit: Better yet, the Soulbow is avalaible free online in WotC's preview of ComPsi. (http://wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/ex/20060403a&page=2)

I would think the dislocator power would work as written. I think allowing unlimited dislocator arrows would be a little overpowering. It would be cool from the PC's perspective but a pain in the butt for the DM.

Yes, that's what I thought being the DM for that group. ;)

And yes: "Gem" indeed properly describes this incredibly awesome prestige class. :)

Giving the Soulbow the "Wounding" +2 enhancement property is overpowering. This makes the weapon one of the most powerful ranged weapon in the game. Since you can only put wounding on melee weapons only. The dislocator a +3 enhancement seems minor since it gets a DC 17 Will save to ignore the effect even if you could do it more than 3 times a day at the level you can use this power.
