Soulknife 1, can now sub Hidden Talent for Wild Talent, and then take HT again, as many times as they want.
OK. 1st level feat, Human feat, 2 flaws = 2 feats, and Soulknife's HT sub.
HT says it counts as one of your powers known.
How broady can this be interpreted? I don't know, and I don't really care much.
Because, you go Wilder next, and all those HTs make for good stuff.

Soul 1 - 5 any powers known, 10pp.
Wild 1 - add 1 "any" power known, +2pp, and bonus pp = 14pp.
Wild Surge them all for the 2/1.05= +90.5% efficiency = ~26pp.

So, at 2nd level you have 6 powers and 26 pp. Even Clerics cry ... :weep:
At 3rd level, retrain the Vigor HT into Psionic Body, and take Skin of the Construct feat.

**

Also works with Psion. Better arms, armor, and skills at the start.
Soul 1 - 5 any powers known, 10 pp.
Psion 1 - add 3 'any' powers known, +2pp, and bonus pp = 14pp.

What do you think?

I'm looking at the Hidden Talent feat, and I'm not seeing "Special: A character may gain this feat multiple times. Its effects stack."

So, no, he can't take it again.

And even if he could, a Wilder would probably be better off in the long run just going straight Wilder and burning normal feats on Hidden Talent. He'd lose 2 PP and a level 1 power known, but pick up 32 + (Cha mod)/2 PP and an extra level 9 power known, and gain access to new power levels one level earlier throughout his career.

I think the Soulknife alternate class feature lets them take it multiple times... but I don't remember for sure, and am too lazy to go look. :D

Yeah, the alternate class feature specifically says they're allowed to take the feat multiple times, so I guess this works. It sort of loses it's potency at later levels, but could make for damn scary psionic commandos for the PCs to face at low levels, particularly if they start metagaming and trying to figure out their level from the number of powers they're outputting.

Hidden Talent

Your psionic talent is strong enough to manifest a single power.
Level: 1st
Replaces: Wild Talent class ability

Benefit: You gain the Hidden Talent feat instead of the Wild Talent feat at 1st level (see Expanded Psionic Handbook, page 67). You gain 2 psionic power points, can now learn any psionic feat for which you meet the prerequisites, can expend your psionic focus, and can gain a single 1st-level power from any list.

Special: Normally the Hidden Talent feat can be taken only once at 1st level, but a soulknife with this class ability can take this feat multiple times, each time gaining an additional 2 psionic power points and another 1st-level power.

The most common powers chosen with this class ability are force screen and inertial armor since they fit the theme of a soulknife, but many choose other powers.
Rather choice early, but yeah, later you are 2 levels behind a Psion. Most of the Wilder builds I've seen dump a ML.
