I'm sure this is covered somewhere in this forum.

After reading some of the other threads, I've seen that many people think that the Soulknife is a weak class to play. Now, I'm quite new to this system (3.5), not to mention psionic classes to begin with. So, why is it that the soulknife is considered weak? I've read them up and they seem pretty interesting and different from all the other classes.

Also, I wanted to know if the "Psionic Weapon" feat could be added to the soulknifes' mindblade?

I know there are other posts on it, but I'm having a hard time finding it.

Basically, anything he can do, others can do better.

And I can't see any reason why the Psychic Weapon feat wouldn't work with a mind blade. (Hopefully you don't mean the Psychic Weapon property, which would be nearly useless for a soulknife, given how few pp he has.)

The racial substitution levels for the kalashtar soulknife soup it up a little, and a soulknife works nicely with a few levels of a manifesting class to self-buff it. On the whole like the monk it's OK, but you wouldn't want one as your primary fighter.

I'll add that like the monk, most things the soulknife can do another class can indeed do better, but then it's a generalist class, and a specialist will always beat a generalist in their field of expertise. The generalist, though, is handy to have around as backup.
