Hello all.
I am thinking of creating a Soulknife charcater who is going to attempt to become immortal, more or less, via the Psion Uncarnate route. I've looked through the books, but I am unsure what would work the best for the multi-class options.
Any build-guide advice would be appreciated.
Or if there are other routes to becoming "immortal." My idea is for an "Everlasting Blade" type of character. Yes, I could have chosen Elan as my race, but I wanted it to be a goal/drive for the charcater. The only other routes I have thought of is loading up on Knowledge: Psionics and seeing if the DM will let me find a Elan ritual where one retains one's memories (ie, not going back to 1st level), or going Psion with repeated AS and TMS.
Thanks in advance.

You need to be able to manifest 3rd level powers to become a Psion Uncarnate. Can't get there from just Soulknife, going to have to be at least a Psion 5 as well.

Or Ardent 2 (with Practiced Manifester).

Incidentally, I don't see where Psion Uncarnate makes you immortal. Just incorporeal.

The Psion Uncarnate is very much not a combat prestige class. If you try to go for it, then your character will not be much of a Soulknife. He'll be a Psion more than anything else.

If you don't mind being a primary manifester, rather than a primary combatant, then Psion would be the best entry into Psion Uncarnate.

He could take the Illumine Soul PrC and get ghost touch for mind blade, then he could do melee while incorporeal.

His BAB would be in the pit. That's the biggest issue here. Sure, he'd be able to affect his corporeal opponents, but he will never hit them. That said, Psion Uncarnate isn't much of a PrC, even for a straight Psion. That whole, "Loss of ninth level powers," bit keeps its psion-appeal low. However, an ardent can bypass that, making for a potentially very interesting Ardent/ Psion Uncarnate with the Mental Power, Force, and possibly Freedom Mantles. He'd be an Elan who is looking to shed his body in favor of heightened mental prowess.
...Why does that sound so familiar? I'm pretty sure somebody here already had that idea. If so, YOINK!
