| Stumpy_the_Tall07-30-07, 07:12 AM | I'm not sure if I'm reading this right so I needed to come here and ask to hammer this out. I was reading the enhancements for the soulknife and the soulbow and saw that there are two diffrent sets of enhancements for each one. The soulknife enhancements in the XPH are more melee based while the soulbow's in the CP are more ranged/damage based. Now does this mean that your mind arrows get a diffrent set of bonuses then your mind blade? Or is that list just saying you have more choices that you can use? |

I was reading the enhancements for the soulknife and the soulbow and saw that there are two diffrent sets of enhancements for each one. The soulknife enhancements in the XPH are more melee based really!?:mymy: while the soulbow's in the CP are more ranged/damage based. my... my... YOU'R RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :OMG! I've never noticed that, thank you!!!!!! It's AMAZING that the soulKNIFE gets melee options and the soulBOW ranged options!!!!:ayyyy!: Now does this mean that your mind arrows get a diffrent set of bonuses then your mind blade? Or is that list just saying you have more choices that you can use? It means, as is written, that the soulknife special abilities only apply to the Mindblade and the soulbow ones... well... to the "mind arrows" |

I was just trying to run it by the DM I just started under and he said that the knife and arrows would get the same bonuses but any of those would work. The way i read the entry was that they would have two diffrent sets of enhancements. Just looking for confrimations so I can send him here to see for himself. Edit: Besides I thought it would be pretty odd to give the arrows bodyfeeder for example. How do you get the benefit of effect if you aren't touching your weapon at that point? Are the hitpoints going to fly through the air to you? (On that same note though I never understood the elemental bursts on melee either. If I hit someone and the weapon bursts with fire/cold/electric, wouldn't that hurt me to? But that's another discussion) |
