| Ishindri04-09-07, 10:35 AM | According my interpretation, you need to aim them at two different targets. However, since the magical version of this feat (CompArc, I believe) is not subject to this limitation, I would houserule it one way or the other - both of them are subject to it, or neither. Flavor-wise, I don't see why you couldn't split a ray and target them both at the same thing. Balance-wise, I'm not so sure. A split disintegrate for only two additional power points, both aimed at the same target? That makes me somewhat uneasy. That's 10d6 points of damage, assuming the target makes both saves, as well as no augmentation. If the target fails both saves, that's 44d6 points of damage, and 27d6 points on one failed save. You'd need to be at least 13th level to take advantage of it, but still... You're basically doubling your potential damage for two measly power points. |
