06-28-07, 11:52 PM Although I'm away from my books right now, I believe it only grants you another swift action, so therefore it can only be used to manifest powers that have a manifesting time of a swift action.

06-28-07, 11:52 PM Multitask is confusing, isn't it? I normaly interpret it as a kind of Sudden Quicken, Psionic -- but that's not what it actually says.

By a strict reading of the rules, Multitask gives you an extra swift action and lets you manifest any power (or other mental action) with that action.

So you could, for example, in one round, manifest quickened astral construct with your normal swift action, manifest astral construct with your multitask swift action, and manifest astral construct with your normal full-round action.

the only problem with that is if you use multitask to manifest a power you cant manifest any more powers that round

06-29-07, 10:50 PM From what I remember from my last reading of it is that it allows you, as a swift action, to perform any purely mental action that normaly takes a standard action. This allows you to manifest a buff and then full attack.

Only restriction I can see would be the burning of your psionic focus, but if you have Psicrystal Affinity/Psicrystal Containment then it wouldn't be an issue....

Because the rules specifically state "However, a synad can use his extra mental action to manifest a power only if the normal actions allowed him during the round do not also involve manifesting a power."
