Im at my game now. Telekinetic Thust question - do normal attack penalties apply? IE: Can my psion throw a bolt (an improvised weapon) without a penalty? What about a greatsword (non proficient)? Why is the bolt the preferred choice for this power?

Well, I wouldn't see why the penalties would apply, I mean, you are throwing it at them, and with a weapon, you move it so the "pointy end goes first" into the enemy. I don't see how it takes a weapon proficiency feat to find out which end is the pointy one.

I've never heard that the bolt is the preferred choice for this power. I've heard alot more about bunches of alchemist's fire, poison, greatswords, + a tanglefoot bag, etc.
