Taken from the SRD:
Telekinetic Thrust
Psychokinesis
Level: Psion/wilder 3
Display: Visual
Manifesting Time: 1 standard action
Range: Medium (100 ft. + 10 ft./ level)
Target or Targets: One or more objects or creatures with a total weight of 250 lb. or less
Duration: Instantaneous
Saving Throw: Will negates or Will negates (object); see text
Power Resistance: Yes or Yes (object); see text
Power Points: 5

You can affect one or more objects or creatures by concentrating your mind upon, sending them in a deadly hail at your foes—or simply by hurling your foe! You can hurl one object or creature per manifester level (maximum fifteen separate targets), as long as all are within the power’s range and each is no more than 10 feet away from another one. Each object or creature can be hurled a maximum distance of 10 feet per level.

You must succeed on ranged attack rolls (one per creature or object thrown) to hit the target of the hurled items with the items, applying your Intelligence modifier to the attack roll instead of your Dexterity modifier. Hurled weapons deal their standard damage (your Strength bonus does not apply; arrows or bolts deal damage as daggers of their size when used in this manner). Other objects deal damage ranging from 1 point per 25 pounds of weight (for less dangerous objects such as an empty barrel) to 1d6 points per 25 pounds of weight (for hard, dense objects such as a boulder).

Creatures are allowed Will saves (and power resistance) to negate the effect, as are those whose held possessions are targeted by this power.

If you use this power to hurl a creature against a solid surface, it takes damage as if it had fallen 10 feet (1d6 points).

Augment
For every additional power point you spend, the weight limit of the target or targets increases by 25 pounds.

I was going over the thread "3.5 Psion Buildguide and Compendium" when I came to the 'orc shotput' idea.

Telekinetic Thrust is 250lbs +25 per manifester level and he is saying that as a 9th level manifester you could life 9 orcs and hurl them, but as a 9th level manifester wouldn't you only be able to lift 350lbs ?

I posted a response on his thread but i'm a little impatient for the answer :tantrum:

Yeah, it is only 350... Unless you do things to increase you're manifester level. Like Overchannelling it which at level 8, you gain the ability to beef your manifester level by +2. But even then, you're only throwing 400lbs.

I've tested TK Thrust out myself. Brilliant power ^^ Gotta love throwing enemies into the ceiling giving them 1d6 damage, only to laugh as they fall and take even MORE damage. MWAHAHAHA!

Edit: I read your post in the compendium. Take note that I said "Enemies" =3 It all depends on said enemies weights.

Also, use this when pesky spellcasters use Mirror Image to confuse you. Images weigh nothing =3 And when they all hit something, poof. And viola, you know who the real caster is =3

I could have the wrong end of the stick here....

Are you suggesting throwing Orcs?

The 'orc shotput' is a weapon in a splatbook I don't have. It's a thrown weapon that does 2D6 damage, I think, and is therefore ideal to use as a missile to hurl at Orcs, or any other creature you don't like, with TK Thrust.

I prefer Collosal Crossbow Bolts because that doesn't rely on obscure books we don't use in our campaign and because they're cheap, easily augmented with adamantine/silver/cold iron and you can hit big piles of them with Metaphysical weapon.

Don't Panic.

Everybody makes a fool of themselves on these boards from time to time. I do not think any day is truly complete without doing so at least once.

Say... Do hurled opponents trigger attacks of opportunity from this movement? I also notice it doesn't state they're knocked prone or anything like that. Seems this would be much better for moving your allies around. If you miss when throwing a creature, does it always end up in the target square, or would you use grenade-like missile miss results to determine where they end up?

If you throw him hard enough you might do splash damage too...

I had a wizard my DM killed off because he crafted his own ring of Telekinesis. Honestly, what's so bad about dwarf tossing anyways?
