| Psionx09-30-07, 03:13 PM | Will d20srd.org update to 4th edition and keep all their 3.5 stuff? Answering/Responding to the second part is purely optional, as is reading it. Are the people at the SRD implementing the nerfs from Cpsi? For Example: You link your mind with another psionic creature’s mind, creating a brief conduit through which mental energy can be shared. When you manifest this power, the subject gains up to 2 power points. You can transfer only as many power points to a subject as it has manifester levels. Because of the intimate nature of this power, it cannot be fabricated into a psionic item—only power points generated by a psionic creature in the moment can be shared using bestow power. Thousands of tiny crystal shards spray forth in an arc from your hand. These razorlike crystals slice everything in their path. Anyone caught in the cone takes 3d4 points of slashing damage. I don't remember seeing the underlined portions on those powers before. Doesn't matter anyway though: Damage reduction doesn't block damage from powers or spells and double affinity field just copies the same effect not increasing it in strength. If it truly meant what it said you could only ever bestow power points once, in this case its once per iteration and double affinity field creates multiple iterations. Take that you nerfing b:censored:tards. |
| Tempest Stormwind09-30-07, 03:26 PM | Will d20srd.org update to 4th edition and keep all their 3.5 stuff? D20SRD.org is a fansite. The official SRD is available on the Wizards main site. Are the people at the SRD implementing the nerfs from Cpsi? Brief tutorial on how Open Game Content works: If it's Open, anyone can use it, even if the edition changes (since once it's Open, it can't be Closed again). If it isn't, it's effectively invisible on anything published under the OGL. In other words, you can still find the 3eSRD online, but it isn't supported or expanded anymore by Wizards. Still, there's lots of 3e OGL material out there. Similarly, the 3.5 SRD will continue to exist after the 4e revision. You can't take away what you've given to the public. However, Complete Psionic, not being Open, can't even be addressed by the OGL products since it isn't Open (and thus it's essentially invisible). If you were asking if 4e psionics incorporates that nerf, dude, we don't know a thing about 4e mechanics. So why would you even bother asking? For Example: You link your mind with another psionic creature’s mind, creating a brief conduit through which mental energy can be shared. When you manifest this power, the subject gains up to 2 power points. You can transfer only as many power points to a subject as it has manifester levels. I don't remember seeing the underlined portions on those powers before. They're there in my XPH... Doesn't matter anyway though: Damage reduction doesn't block damage from powers or spells and double affinity field just copies the same effect not increasing it in strength. If it truly meant what it said you could only ever bestow power points once, in this case its once per iteration and double affinity field creates multiple iterations. I can barely understand what the second half of your post is trying to say. |
| Psionx09-30-07, 03:34 PM | Maybe I'm just being paranoid, I just don't remember any of those being there and I've heard only bad things about CPsi so I never bought it. Thanks for clarifying Tempest, anyway I think I'll just go buy untapped potential some time, or that thing lycanthromacer is working on. |
| Lycanthromancer09-30-07, 03:40 PM | I'm still working on it; Bacris has decided that since the thing is more than 90,000 words long, we're going to split it into multiple releases, starting with talents (and they're pretty well finished by now). |
