| Flay Crimsonwind05-05-07, 07:48 PM | Alright, here is the feat for psywarriors: Soul-Bound Weapon (http://wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/psm/20070214a) Nifty feat, I'd probably enjoy taking it for kicks. And it solves a problem in the "bleach character's" question. But that's not what I wanna know. First, when it says that the ability is gained at 4th level etc for a normal bonus, it means the ECL, not the ctual levels taken in psywarrior, right? I'm not sure whether to read it like class abilities when referencing levels or not. Second, and the fun part I'm thinking of, can one choose unarmed strikes as the weapon focus, and thus call forth empowered fists with this feat's ability? Might this be a way for a monk/psion to call forth magic fists? Since it's somewhat hard to get to, I think it'd allow it as a DM, but I'm looking for the official ruling on it... So can you chose unarmed strikes for the feat? I don't see why not, though I could very very easily be missing something. It doesn't say anything about not getting an unarmed strike as a callable weapon in Call weaponry, but I wanted to make sure. |

The term "level" in a class ability always refers to the class that gives you the ability, unless it specifies otherwise. If it meant ECL, it would have said "character level" instead of just "level". If it meant HD, it would have said "hit dice" instead of "level." 2) No, call weaponry only works for manufactured weapons. |

You cannot select unarmed strike, but you can select a gauntlet, which will effect your unarmed strike. |
