Time hop part of massive object? [Archive] - Wizards Community

I just read the thread on time hopping a brain.
I now wonder if it would be possible to time hop 50 pounds out of a solid wall of rock, which I consider being one piece.
Can I time hop a hole into the wall?

07-20-07, 08:05 PM No, you have to time hop the whole object or none of it. There are other powers to use if you want to remove only part of an object.

However, what exactly you can hop out depends on how you define "object." You can't just hop out a chunk of a solid object like a wall. You might be able to hop out a door if your DM agrees that the door and wall are separate objects.
