TRIGGER POWER [PSIONIC]
You choose one power that you can attempt to manifest for
free.
Prerequisite: Inner Strength, Talented, reserve power
points (see below).
Benefit: Choose any 0-, 1st-, 2nd-, or 3rd-level power you
know. From now on you can attempt to trigger that power
without paying its cost. To trigger a power, you must first
satisfy the requirement of a power point reserve equal to or
greater than what it would normally cost you to manifest the
power. Then, make an ability check appropriate for the
power's discipline (for instance, you would make a Charisma
check for charm person). If you meet or exceed the ability
check DC (see below), the power is manifested normally with
no power point cost. If you fail the check, you are forced to
pay its cost, but the power is still manifested normally. You
can't use Trigger Power in conjunction with psionic attack or
defense modes.
DCs for the ability check are determined by level: 0-level,
11; 1st level, 13; 2nd level, 15; and 3rd level, 17.
Special: You can take this feat multiple times, each time
using it for a new triggered power

Level: Psion/wilder 2
Display: Mental
Manifesting Time: 1 standard action
Range: 20 ft.
Target: One psionic creature
Duration: Instantaneous
Saving Throw: None
Power Resistance: No
Power Points: 3

You link your mind with another psionic creature’s mind, creating a brief conduit through which mental energy can be shared. When you manifest this power, the subject gains up to 2 power points. You can transfer only as many power points to a subject as it has manifester levels.

Because of the intimate nature of this power, it cannot be fabricated into a psionic item—only power points generated by a psionic creature in the moment can be shared using bestow power.
Augment

For every 3 additional power points you spend, the subject gains 2 additional power points.

No. You are blending 3.0 and 3.5 material from the same source. trigger power is 3.0, Bestow Power is 3.5

Ask your DM. He is using a table version of the rules, not the ones published in the XPH. So there is really nothing that is going to come out of cyberspace that can trump what your DM has decided applies to his 3.0/.5 game. It is like asking what happens if you play the Wild Draw 4 card from Uno at the same time as the Get Out of Jail card in Monopoly; if you are playing a game using your own rules, only you can decide that.

This is, by the way, one of the reasons Trigger Power didn't make the cut to 3.5. Input from consumers, who acted as post-market playtesters, indicated it didn't work. 3.5 psionics is a flat-out better set of rules resulting from tons of fan input about what 3.0 didn't get right; if you choose to mix in 3.0 then you are choosing not to avail yourself of these improvements.
