trying to make a powerful lurk [Archive] - Wizards Community

what do i do about the lack of power points?

any build guides for this class?

thinking about taking levels of ebon saint even though it's VERY underpowered! what do you think?

01-03-08, 03:03 PM I'm dissappointed in the lack of support for the Lurk. It is the best class in Complete Psionic.

Although the Lurk does not get as many power points as a Psion this combo can cause a lot of pain.

Expanded Knowledge: Crystal Shard

Ranged Lurk Augment

One problem with the Lurk is how you apply an Augment for your next attack with feats that offer Simultaneous Attack e.g. Split Ray or Greater Manyshot.

01-03-08, 03:25 PM Another problem is psionic sneak attack. Because the extra damage dice only applies while you maintain focus, it makes focus expending feats less useful, especially psionic weapon et al.

01-03-08, 03:36 PM That's true, but a psicrystal is very useful to a Lurk as an extra pair of eyes and ears, as a scout's scout, and as a skill booster. So taking Psicrystal Containment isn't a huge loss.

Although it is two feats, and then you still need to spend feat slots on things to use your focus with. You could just take things like Deadly Precision and the ambush feats instead.

Well, if you've put a few ranks in the sensory skills, it's definitely worth it. Psy-rogues can get even more mileage out of it, imo, but lurks can definitely use a free reroll on many of their skills.
