And can he gain most illithid "Super-natural stuff" by taking assume supernatural ability and improved assume supernatural ability feats from savage species?

Or should he grow in a Illithid Monster Class?

Nothing. He lacks line of effect to the tadpole (his skull provides total cover), and thus cannot target it with True Mind Switch (or Mind Seed).

And can he gain most illithid "Super-natural stuff" by taking assume supernatural ability and improved assume supernatural ability feats from savage species?

Assuming your trick worked, he wouldn't need either of those since he's not shapeshifting. However, it doesn't work.

Or should he grow in a Illithid Monster Class?

Since he can't stop it without resorting to Heal or similar, he's pretty much doomed to becoming an illithid.

09-03-07, 07:32 PM But Tempest, what if he uses Burrowing Power and sticks a clarivoyant sense sensor down his ear? It is an obvious place, and he can circumvent his own skull as a barrier with a successful check, right? He's not high enough level to do it, but he can easily Overchannel the metapsionic feat.

And if you are at this step then they certainly know you are a psion; you are likely under Brain Lock or worse, or simply drugged. In fact, if you showed great mental capacity then your brain would more likely be on the menu than at the nursery. It is an interesting conjecture, one which the illithid have a vested interest in seeing never get answered.

09-03-07, 11:35 PM Per earlier comments this doesn't seem to work RAW and seems unlikely. However, there's no reason you couldn't have yourself tied down, manifest True Mind Switch into an illithid tadpole which you've already got, and then have a friend put the tadpole into your old body's ear.

Well, what about being treated as a mind flayer from the XPH, being treated as a 9th level telepath (or better if Serge is a 17th telepath, in which case he becomes a 26th level telepath).

Also, wouldn't you only switch minds with ONE hellwasp?

Regardless, I believe a mind flayer may definitely be worthwhile.

That's wrong in many ways, but here's the most significant one (from the Mind Switch power):

You gain the extraordinary special attacks and qualities of your assumed body, but you do not gain supernatural or spell-like abilities.

Also, wouldn't you only switch minds with ONE hellwasp?

Nope, a swarm is treated as a single creature for game purposes. Makes you immune to all physical attacks plus spells that target you. Best combined with the epic feat Permanent Emanation and Null-Psionics Field. That way, only epic spells can harm you.
