1) Do thralls and believers retain their allegiance in an antimagic field? If not, do they resent the thrallherd for his manipulations while the link is severed, or do they still feel friendly toward him though they can't hear his call anymore?

2) What's the absolute maximum number of 17th level cohorts/thralls you can get? Most I can think of is 4: 2 (Thrall) 1 (Undead Leadership) 1 (Psicrystal takes Leadership)

Is there a way to make your psicrystal undead so it can take Undead Leadership too?

thanks in advance!

The Thrallherd class feature is listed as an Extraordinary ability, so it should work just fine in an antimagic field.

You don't have to be undead to take Undead Leadership. I don't think you can have Leadership and Undead Leadership at the same time, though.

Also, since a Psicrystal never gains XP, its cohorts won't either. It'll just have to dismiss them and recruit new ones when the maximum level of recruitable cohort goes up.

1) Do thralls and believers retain their allegiance in an antimagic field? Of course they remain faithful in an AMF.

2) What's the absolute maximum number of 17th level cohorts/thralls you can get? Most I can think of is 4: 2 (Thrall) 1 (Undead Leadership) 1 (Psicrystal takes Leadership)The maximum number you can get is determined by the table. Epic thrallherds will get more.

Also, the thrallherd loses the Leadership feat; this covers Undead Leadership as well, I'd imagine.

If you can get your psicrystal the Leadership feat, those cohorts and followers are your psicrystal's, not yours. Your psicrystal's followers don't give a flying flip about you, so long as you remain alive to keep your psicrystal powered up.

Is there a way to make your psicrystal undead so it can take Undead Leadership too? The only possible way to turn your psicrystal undead is to find an undead template that doesn't have 'living creature' as a prereq (and virtually none do). There really is no way to bypass this, unless you use some sort of instantaneous effect to turn your psicrystal into a permanently living critter. Possibly possible, but not likely.

It won't do much, but your psicrystal will be able to use its Cha on Concentration checks.

thanks in advance!No problem.

Isn't there an Incarnate Construct template in SS? Can't remember if it starts off with a spell, or would you just have to try talk the GM into letting the psicrystal add a template

it is a spell. but a psycrystal can't have it. you have to be a small+ humanoid-shaped construct.

Who says you can't have a humanoid shaped psicrystal? As for the being small bit, a permanent enlarge should do the trick.
