Does a level 10 uncarnate have to eat/sleep/breath?

Can an uncarnate use his ability to make things incorporeal use that ability on a bag of holding?

If so, what happens if the bag is filled with bottles of alchemists fire? And what happens if he hover above a white dragon and opens the bag? (I wouldn't want to be that dragon)

If an uncarnate moves in into an armour suit and becomes corporeal inside of it, does he suddenly wear it? And does it turn into uncarnate armour when he becomes incorporeal again?

Considering the 'flavor text' at least some of that would make sense. After all the Psion Uncarnate becomes an "entity of mind untethered by the physical world". However: It's not in the description of the class feature and it's not mentioned in the decription of the incroporeal subtype.

Actually he can't make 'things' incorporeal, but only designate "worn equipment (including armor and weapons)" for his "Assume Equipment" ability. So I'd say no, but there are other ways of moving stuff while being incorporeal .. but the items wouldn't be incorporeal themselves.

I'd say an armor still needs to be properly donned. That's what http://www.d20srd.org/srd/equipment/armor.htm#tableDonningArmor is there for after all. ;) If I for some reason wanted to houserule that because I wanted to reward the crazy idea I'd let the player make a rather difficult dexterity check or something like that to consider the armor to be donned hastly (with a appropriate penalties). But that'd really be something rather ... creative. ;)

Where should he be wearing the bag? I can't find it in the rules right now (if I manage to do so later I'll edit this post), but as far as I know a character is only considered to be 'wearing' something if it's ... well ... something he 'wears' ... like armor, jewelry, belt, gloves, helmet, glasses etc. etc. You wouldn't say someone is 'wearing' his pen just because he's holding it in his hand.

Well, as long as I don't find the part of the rules defining 'wearing' it's just speculation on my part, but that's how I'd interpret it. I guess that's why the specifically wrote "including armor and weapons".

add some straps and it becomes a backpack or sachel.

Just to add to this debate, what happens if an uncarnate manifests astral seed and then dies, does it still take 10 days to "build a body"?

Why would an Uncarnate worry about worn things anyway? Worn things are of the flesh, and flesh is to be abandoned.

I envisioned Uncarnates starting out their esoteric beliefs by first adopting a nudist outlook. In a D&D setting with a myriad of religions and pantheons and outlooks, I'd think nudism would be a common variant.

If the character is consumed over holding onto materialism, I'd think the player picked the wrong PrC.

He'll have a spellbook, a shortspear and his clothes. He doesn't need other material things, since he wants to be a super mage (he'll be a gestalt warlock(Will become hellfire warlock, uncanny trickster, legacy champ and shadowmancer)/wizard with devil bloodline, and will become binder, psion, psion uncarnate, truenamer, and berfet.) His goal is to hover in the air and blast kingdoms and armies into pieces with himself as a one-man army consisting of magic and such force.

Incorporeality was clarified online in the Rules of the Game: There, Not There Part Three (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/rg/20040928a) if you care what WotC says about it.

Because it lacks a physical body, it has no Strength score. Theoretically, an incorporeal creature may have a Constitution score, but such a creature would be strange indeed. In any case, incorporeal creatures don't need to eat, drink, or breathe. In fact, they cannot do these things because they have no Strength scores and they can't affect physical objects (or even air).

:thinks:

Now say that ten times fast. How many splatbooks will be involved in the making? (rhetorically asked)

I am curious what an Uncarnate's motive would be for blasting kingdoms out of whim (assuming there aren;t other motives not mentioned). Enlightenment by force? You mention devil bloodline, and it makes me think of Gnosticism where devils were seen as symbols of the true benefactors of humanity, providing wisdom and knowledge. I also think of Kali Ma who forced people to abandon the illusion of reality by severing their hands and decapitating them.

A lot, UA; CA, CM, Faerūn books, ToM, FF, FC2, ELH, XPH, WoL, CS, BoED, BoVD Et.C., Most books actually.

He's a megalomaniac who wants power, but he's still a benefactor, releasing people from tyrannies and plutocracies and such. (He's from Sembia (Faerūn), and he wants to overthrow such power. The Devil Bloodline is more for warlock fluff.

And he's chaotic neutral, and neutral =/= Good light/Diet Good.
