| DracoPhoenix11-16-07, 10:19 AM | A while ago I thought of a nice combo - psion uncarnate + skin of proteus for incorporeal at will via assume equipment. Since reading it a few times, it would appear that normally this could only work once a day - when you switch forms. However, assume equipment only functions when you designate it - otherwise your worn equipment remains material (and you can still wear it when incorporeal). So could you get away with simply using SoP as needed and then taking it off and (telekinetically) dumping it in your incorporeal handy haversack? (HH's being effectively portals with a zip) |

(HH's being effectively portals with a zip) You could certainly carry around all your stuff in your incorporeal Heward's Handy, whether that stuff is corporeal or not. But if you take it out and try to wear it, it should then count against the limit of Assume Equipment. |
| DracoPhoenix11-16-07, 05:24 PM | Just to clarify: Assumed equipment turns assumed items incorporeal, otherwise, while incorporeal items remain worn and corporeal (kinda like free ghost touch on unassumed items). Using a HH allows you to carry all your stuff while incorporeal without problems when walking through walks etc. While the items in question remain corporeal. At 10th level, you're permanently incorporeal, which makes the whole matter interaction process down to telekensis and bluff. SoP allows you to assume any form (including a generic from your race) which, if it remained corporeal while you were incorporeal, would give you the "benefits" of being corporeal as needed. Your normal incorpreality could then be restored as a full round action (dismiss skin + put in HH). The original trick would only work once a day as assume equipment in/corporeality only happens when you change state. The trick here would to be to not assume the SoP. |

You're saying a Skin of Proteus would allow a character with 10 levels of Psion Uncarnate to become corporeal whenever he wanted. That wasn't clear at all from the first post! I still don't see why you need to put the skin in a Handy Haversack to resume incorporeality, though. |

The skin is corporeal, so while wearing it you wont be able to walk through walls (though you'd still get the telekenesis at will). Putting it in the HH will make it incorporeal (or at least the HH is incorporeal and it's inside that). |
