| Tsuul03-01-07, 05:53 PM | The CiD looks nice! The AC seems off, too solid [looking] or something, I'm not sure. |
| Artector03-01-07, 06:20 PM | The Astral Construct looks a little blocky for my tastes. |
| Thomar_of_Uointer03-01-07, 07:28 PM | I like the astral construct, it looks like a good balance between being crystalline and ooze, which makes perfect sense. They might have made it a little translucent, but it would be hard to tell from those pictures. Of course, that's the fun thing about the power in D&D, you get to make it look like whatever you want it to. :D |
| InkBlot03-01-07, 07:36 PM | Only if you make a high enough Craft (Sculpture) check. It's a pretty popular choice for Expanded Knowledge, so let's say that this mini is for all those telepaths who just wanted a little mindless meatshield. If I were the kind of person who bothered to buy minis, I'd try to get the large Astral Construct. Even for my shaper, it's handy. It may look different every time he manifests it, but having the same visual reference on the battlemat would help keep other players (or the DM) from going "what's that ettin supposed to be again?" And the Caller In The Darkness looks realy amazing. |
| Xaxor03-01-07, 07:41 PM | Don't forget the Intellect Devourer. Isn't it cute? |
| Tsuul03-01-07, 07:44 PM | Can I stick lego blocks on the AC's hand? :P |
| InkBlot03-01-07, 07:51 PM | It's wierd to see minis of creatures that you wouldn't normally see, like the Intellect Devourer, or the changeling rogue. If the PCs run into an Intellect Devourer, it's probably going to be inside a body it stole. And any changeling rogue worth her salt will never show his true face. Not that I'm complaining - it's just wierd. D&D Miniatures Gallery: Unhallowed (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/mg/20070301mg) |
| Artector03-01-07, 08:04 PM | Oooh, the Quori they have is pretty cool. http://www.wizards.com/dnd/images/un_gallery/Tsucora_Quori.jpg The Inspired Shock Trooper is ok too, but not great. |
| SlanderPanic03-01-07, 08:07 PM | Psionics is getting pretty good representation in this set: Six new miniatures, including a new soulknife. Overall, Unhallowed looks gorgeous. I can't wait to rip open a couple of boosters! |
| TalonofTiamat03-01-07, 08:40 PM | I was surprised by the number of psionic minis in the set. The caller in darkness looks awesome, but I think they could have done better on the Large AC. |
| Thomar_of_Uointer03-01-07, 09:08 PM | Oooh, the Quori they have is pretty cool. http://www.wizards.com/dnd/images/un_gallery/Tsucora_Quori.jpg The Inspired Shock Trooper is ok too, but not great. Oooh, the smaller arms look so grabby! I want one for my desk! |
