Usage for the Scion of the Twelve [Archive] - Wizards Community

07-18-07, 01:39 AM The Scion of the Twelve feat grants a +2 caster level on clairsentient powers and detect psionics at will.

I looked through the XPH and couldn't find any good clairsentient powers that scale well and thus gain much benefit from the +2 to caster level.

So what powers are out there that would make this feat worth taking? Any help would be appreaciated.

07-18-07, 02:28 AM Anything with an augment. You can spend power points up to your manifester level.

Aura sight, danger sense, detect teleportation, fate link, feat leech, object reading, recall agony, and trace teleport all have 2 power point augments.

Power resistance, remote viewing, and sensitivity to psychic impressions all scale without augment.

Several other clairsentience powers have augments greater than 2 power points, and Scion Of The Twelve will help you get to those faster.

Also, if you're playing an Ardent then this feat will allow you to get powers of one level higher than normal. This is due to the unique way in which Ardents determine the maximum power level they can access.

07-18-07, 04:20 AM It'll also let you apply metapsionic feats to your Clairsentience powers sooner (Extend is nice with a lot of them). And, for those that happen to be attacks (Recall Agony, Recall Death), it'll help you overcome power resistance.

Not to mention that this is only one of the abilities that Scion of the Twelve grants. The other stuff is pretty nice, too.
