can I play a Warforged Psion without the Psionic Body feat?

I am thinking that I can because regular races do not have to be naturally psionic in order to take a psionic class.

02-14-08, 11:07 PM Unless you're going for a prestige class, no psionic classes have prerequisites of any kind, so yes.

02-14-08, 11:15 PM If you mean the Psiforged feat, then yes you can. In fact, the feat is so optional that the two example characters presented with it forgot to take it.

What's your DEX? If it's 12, Adamantine. If higher, Mithral. Since you don't have to sweat ASF or nonproficiency penalties, Adamantine armor rocks for psions.

02-15-08, 02:45 AM If you were going psychic warrior, then I would say take mithril since Biofeedback gives cheap DR and DR doesn't stack with existing. The same power for the psion is overpriced so you would be better off with the intrinsic DR of Adamantine Body.

Actually, to take a step back on that argument: Look at the defensive powers you plan on taking and then choose a body type that complements those choices rather than overlaps with them. Alternately, take Adamantine Body + the DR boosting feat and figure this handles most of your physical defense for low levels, freeing up your power slots for offense, utility, and mobility.

02-15-08, 08:53 AM That is a good point about power selection. Thank you. I am using a 32 point buy system so i think i will increase my dex to 12 and leave it there with the admantine body for DR.
