If you were running a psionics-only campaign without any magic, what psionic powers, feats, classes and combinations would you change?

Metamorphosis would need the standard 'no you cannot be a war troll' type nerfings. Energy Stun and *maybe* Missile need to have their DC progression changed to +1/2pp (all depends on how much damage you expect from a caster type). Other than that, not a thing that I can think of. Unless you go outside of core, in which case you need to houserule Synchronicity/Anticipatory strike to something non-stupid.

The first post of the Myth (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?t=331253) thread lists out all the standard problems people seem to have with psionics. I'd highly suggest going over it before you start monkeying with the system (aside from the poly/metamorph cheese, that's stupid no matter what system you're using).

i fully expected to come into this thread and say magic system but since that is not relevant i would have to say...

nothing needs nerfing just a few powers and probably some feats that need clarification, which ones were already stated. Also since sadly there isn't a ton of psi stuff out there i would go through all of it and say theses items are allowed while these aren't. Don't forget to take a look at the minds eye articles they have some good PrC's in there that have been updated to 3.5 and would give players some options, even allowing a person to take the place of cleric as a healer.

Bestow Power. Wait, no, that needs banning. My error.

Metamorph was the big one i nerfed, but i decided to leave most of the energy power alone (they can blow through all their points for all i care). Id basically like to find out if there is something huge im missing.

On the healing front, we have a base class variation of the sangehirn that seems to be working well.

I have a replacement for Bestow Power that seems to work:

Bestow Power
Telepathy [Mind-Affecting]
Level: Psion/wilder 2
Display: Mental
Manifesting Time: 1 round
Range: 20 feet
Target: One psionic creature
Duration: Instantaneous
Saving Throw: None
Power Resistance: No
Power Points: 3

You open a mental conduit to the subject through which mental energy can be shared. You may chose to transfer any number of points, though the subject may only gain up to 1 point per the highest manifester level it possesses per manifestation of this power. If you attempt to transfer more points than the subject can retain, excess points are lost (you do not automatically know if points are lost or retained).

Power points transfered must come from your personal pool. Points transfered are not part of the manifesting cost of this power. Points spent on manifesting (including metapsionic costs) are not part of the transfer; manifesting this power simply established the psychic connection, the transfer of points is a separate though simultaneous process.

Augmentation: None.

What this fixes: Monkey all you want with the manifesting cost (Torc, Earthpower, whatever) it reduces the 3 point cost to manifest, but the actual transfer of power is separate and its exchange rate is not affected by manifesting cost reductions. It may also be put in an item without causing problems: A dorje would only establish the conduit, the points would have to come from the personal pool of the item-user (no, it doesn't violate the bottleneck rule because these points are not part of the manifestation). It also does not reveal the manifester level of the subject the way the XPH version can.
