entirely possible that something like this has already been done, but i haven't seen it, so here's my take.

**************************************** ******
WILD RAGER (General)

You know that true strength flows from the power of your uncontrolled emotions. Control is for the weak and timid. While many look askance at your wild behavior, they seldom say anything to your face.

Prerequisites: Rage class feature, wild surge class feature

Benefit: If you have levels in wilder and barbarian, those levels stack for determining the number of times per day you can rage, the strength of your wild surge, and your wilder manifester level (but not power points per day or powers known).

When taking a level in either barbarian or wilder, ranks in skills on either classes list may be purchased as if they were in class skills (1 point per rank). Also, you do not take XP penalties for having wilder and barbarian levels more than 1 level apart from each other.

Additionally, you may manifest as a wilder while raging, but you always do so at your maximum wild surge level possible. If you suffer from psychic enervation, the effects are delayed until your rage ends (multiple psychic enervations while raging do not stack, so you essentially only suffer the effects once). If you have less power points remaining at the end of your rage than the psychic enervation takes, you are knocked unconscious for a number or rounds equal to the level of your wild surge.

Wow. That feat makes a 1-level dip into Barbarian a necessity for pretty much any Wilder build. Not only would a melee Wilder love those rages, but even a blaster or diplomat Wilder would give his right eye to go an entire encounter without suffering enervation.

Nice idea, too strong. Bbn1/Wilder19 should not get Mighty Rage, nor should the feat progress manifester level (Ascetic Mage doesn't, for example). That skills thing is also off-base, and Manifesting while Raging is totally out there. WAY TOO GOOD.

The feat should:

- Progress number of rages per day (but not rage strength) and
- EITHER Wild Surge level OR Surging Euphoria level. I think surging Euphoria is probably more in keeping with the flavor of the idea.

And that's it.

this actually already occurred to me today. not sure why it seemed like a good idea last night. tired i guess.

nor should the feat progress manifester level (Ascetic Mage doesn't, for example).

is ascetic mage considered the watermark for these sorts of feats then? besides, sorcerers get free scaling in the power of their spells with level. not the same thing as a wilder at all. a barb1/wilder19 has 30 fewer power points and one less 9th level power than a wilder20. that can be pretty significant. and the daring outlaw feat stacks sneak attack damage for a rogue/swashbuckler. rogue3/swash17 would have full 10d6 sneak attack. maybe if i require an extra level or two of barb? the loss of power points and powers known really hurts.

That skills thing is also off-base,

why? i'm really curious here. is it broken some way?

and Manifesting while Raging is totally out there. WAY TOO GOOD.

well, i admit, i was thinking more in terms of self buffing when i came up with it. what if i limited it to powers that affect you only, and made psychic enervation automatic when the rage ends? maybe plus dazed an additional round for every power you manifested while raging.

The feat should:

- Progress number of rages per day (but not rage strength) and

definitely agree, and changed.

- EITHER Wild Surge level OR Surging Euphoria level. I think surging Euphoria is probably more in keeping with the flavor of the idea.

And that's it.

well, speaking as the writer, i disagree here. heh. what i wanted for flavor was greater power unlocked while raging. in my mind, the synergy just makes sense. hmmm, what about, while raging only, your barb levels stack for determining your wild surge? in combination with the automatic enervation and self affecting powers only?
