| X0_Lt_0X03-09-08, 06:36 PM | The Title explains it all. Are there any? |
| X0_Lt_0X03-09-08, 06:38 PM | BTW they need to be official, and by that I mean they need the DnD Logo on it |
| PhantomMike03-09-08, 06:58 PM | Bask in the 100 % official content. Piazo Publishing, formerly responsible for Dragon Magazine and Dungeon Magazine, published a compendium of things that were released in Dragon Magazine called the DRAGON COMPENDIUM. This compendium contains a template called the Unseelie Fey. It is an LA +0 template which is potent and listed as "always evil" for purposes of alignment. The template proper was penned by Gwendolyn F.M. Kestrel, famed for writing very much about the Fey in 3.5 D&D. |

| PhantomMike03-09-08, 07:28 PM | Compendium, thank you. And I'm not certain which issue of Dragon has it. Lets start with the basics then. You're looking for a template to apply to another PC race (presumably without an LA) without having to be a class level behind the rest of the party, presumably. This, as far as I know, is the only Level Adjustment 0 template I know of, and I'm sorry it doesn't help you. So lets take a look at what resources you do have access to. Are you a player without your own books? What is the purpose of this template search? What kind of character are you trying to make? I presume you already had access to a number of books and had looked through everything you had access to in which to locate an LA +0 template, and thus needed something for an outside but still official content source. |

Sorry for spelling wrong :weep: I have access to to all the Completes I believe, ToB, The Races books, ToM, MoI, XPsi, Books of Vile darkness an Exalted Deeds, UnAr, as well as a few more. As for my Character -->HERE<-- (http://forums.gleemax.com/showthread.php?t=1001766) Im going to be playing in a heavy Optimized Campaign. In fact, were encoraged by the DM to Optimize. Everyone in the group has a LA of 4 or higher besides me because Im being a caster, and, well, I need them Spells!!! So in order to keep myself useful, I need some kind of boost that wont bring my LA any higher. Any help will be appreciated =3 |
| Yadot03-09-08, 08:23 PM | What about Necropolitan? It's not really a +0 LA template, as you do lose some XP, but you won't be a level behind the other party members. Necropolitan makes you Undead and is found in Libris Mortis |
| Rebel728403-09-08, 08:38 PM | Dragonborn is in many ways like a template. [RotD?] |
| jradd77703-09-08, 09:44 PM | Could you get your DM to let you attempt something that may or may not be possible in the D&D world? I believe Broodguard is an LA +0 template but has only ever been done on humans and the required ritual performed to do it is rumored to be fatal to anything else, I think... It's in Savage Species, Forgotten Realms (Probably Serpent Kingdoms...) a few other places, I'm sure. |

I actually am allowed to use any content from any Official book of any Version of DnD, including Campaign books such as Ravenloft. The goal is to become godly overpowering, but being able to back it up with your backround story and effectivly roleplay your monstrosity. That means the Half-Dragon Celestial Troll has to act as that. |
| G_Mancer03-09-08, 11:03 PM | Dragon born is a +0 template.. thats in Races of the Dragon Amphibious is a +0 template.. thats in Stormwrack |
| ArochanoX03-10-08, 02:31 AM | There are some LA+0 templates in Dragon magazines (I'm not sure if all of them are in dragon compendium). One that could intrest you is mage-blooded or something like that template that gives +2 Int, -2 Wis (IIRC) and is LA 0. Technically LA0 templates are always bad for game balance as you could basically slack all of them together without raising LA but gaining multitude of (synergizing) abilities. If you don't have access to dragon magazines as you've said, use flaws that can be found in Unearthed Arcana. |
| Wharin03-10-08, 02:45 AM | It was mentioned in a thread earlier last week that there was this template "Primordial" which seemed to add heavily to CHA and INT (i believe) and take away, likewise from STR and maybe another stat. It was LA+0, BUT it could only be applied to Giants, which, as far as I know have at least LA+1 (Half Giant from XPH) and only go up from there. BUT if i recall correctly, someone said that one of the other perks from the template is that you are treated as one level higher for spellcasting (to what extant, though, I don't know). All in all it was a pretty beefy template, which likely didnt have Half Giant in mind when it was created. It was from Secrets of Xen'drik, if that helps any. |

Everyone in the group has a LA of 4 or higher besides me because Im being a caster, and, well, I need them Spells!!! You do know that the bigger the LA, the less powergaming? You've just lost HP, saves, feats, skills and so on and so forth. |
| X0_Lt_0X03-10-08, 04:25 PM | You do know that the bigger the LA, the less powergaming? You've just lost HP, saves, feats, skills and so on and so forth. Past +3 LA of course its not powergaming. But they don't know that :D A Magic missile Will destroy any of them. In fact I'm counting on it :schemes: In the beginning of a game LA characters are powerful, but as time goes on, there Low HP, lack of feats, and lack of special abilities will hit them, Hard My soon dominants :king: over the party is my true goal, and it shell be fulfilled :evillaugh |

Actually it's like -4 str, -2 con, +4 cha, +4 int, you are treated as one level higher for casting spell like abilities, favored class becomes warlock. Also you get one spell like ability castable at character level and you have three spells to choose from, invisiblity, invisiblity purge and I forget off hand what the third was. It is found in the eberon setting of Secrets of Xen'drik. The LA adjustment of the template is in fact 0, so the LA for a half giant would be 1, and the stats would be -2 str, -2 dex, +4 int, +4 cha, along with having all the goodies that a half giant would, such as powerful build and a psionic ability. So even though the template is 0, the lowest race that qualifies for it is a LA 1. |
| BloodDragon03-10-08, 04:47 PM | Google saves all (http://forums.gleemax.com/showthread.php?t=854328) Enjoy! :D |
| jradd77703-10-08, 05:26 PM | Google saves all (http://forums.gleemax.com/showthread.php?t=854328) Enjoy! :D I don't see Broodguards (LA +0) on his list but they can supposedly only be applied to humans. (Found in Savage Species, pg. 141) |
