| Andramadus07-09-07, 08:06 AM | Here's where you can post playable anime races, from Transformers, Thundercats, Mighty orbots, Naruto, Inuyasha, Dragonball Z, Bionic Six, Justice Leage, whatever etc... |
| JarionSilverblades07-09-07, 08:16 AM | I've created 2 races that are inspired by the Thundercats, See Wildmane Panynx (PEACH) and Snarf (PEACH) Races. :duel: |
| Novacat07-09-07, 09:19 AM | Here's where you can post playable anime races, from Transformers, Thundercats, Mighty orbots, Naruto, Inuyasha, Dragonball Z, Bionic Six, Justice Leage, whatever etc... Since when are Transformers, Thundercats, or Justice League anime? You fail, sir. |
| Warforged Goblin07-09-07, 09:25 AM | Since when are Transformers, Thundercats, or Justice League anime? You fail, sir. Transformers and Thundercats were both originally from Japan, which I guess would make them anime. For a prime (no pun intended) example of Anime-formers take a look at Transformers: Armada. You know, the one where they have to catch the poke-formers -err... mini-cons. As for the JL Animated series, that is decidedly not done in the animated style. That style was pioneered by Bruce Timm, IIRC, and kicks 31 flavors of ass. That said, are we just posting ideas or actual playable races with stats? |
| mkill07-09-07, 11:27 AM | I so want the stats for the Overfiend. Yeah. |
| DarkSamuraiKyo07-10-07, 10:38 AM | Here's my attempt to make a Transformers race (based on G1 Transformers) http://boards1.wizards.com/showpost.php?p=13008684&postcount=19 |
| Boukyaku07-10-07, 02:41 PM | Here's my attempt to make a Transformers race (based on G1 Transformers) http://boards1.wizards.com/showpost.php?p=13008684&postcount=19 I definetally want a small Autobot backing up my Warforged artificer, but how would this work in an Eberron campaign setting? You can't alter electrical currents, so would they just run off of the same fundimentals as warforged? |
| Boukyaku07-10-07, 02:50 PM | Also, just a suggestion, but vehicles dont seem to have the best of theme in most DnD campaign settings. Maybe you should add a special ability in where the character picks a creature of its size to transform into at level 1. |

| ryuspearhead07-10-07, 06:07 PM | Since when are Transformers, Thundercats, or Justice League anime? You fail, sir. transformers has had over 4 differnt animes from japan :) |
| Prime3207-10-07, 06:09 PM | I can't remember who posted it, but a warforged tatooed monk can use alter self as an SLA, allowing them to turn into Small to Large constructs. |
| ryuspearhead07-10-07, 06:19 PM | Please. Please. Foreign cartoons from the 80's? Japanimation, my good sir. Japanimation. wrong transformers is american and was ported to japan ( i think they animated there maybe but the stories are american and it aired here frist |
| Warforged Goblin07-10-07, 07:06 PM | Dude, Takara. Wiki it. |
| Manyfist07-10-07, 07:38 PM | Transformers is from both Japan and USA. |
| JarionSilverblades07-10-07, 08:26 PM | Also, just a suggestion, but vehicles dont seem to have the best of theme in most DnD campaign settings. Maybe you should add a special ability in where the character picks a creature of its size to transform into at level 1. So let them transform into animals or monsters. There are plenty of Transformers that transformed into animals, like 1) Decepticon Cassettes, Laserbeak, Ravage, Buzzsaw, Ratbat, Overkill, and Slugfest. 2) Dinobots, Grimlock, Slag, Snarl, Sludge, and Swoop. 3) Insecticons, Bombshell, Kickback, andShrapnel. 4) Autobot Cassettes, Ramhorn and Steeljaw. 5) (my personal favorite) Predacons (Gen1), Divebomb, Headstrong, Rampage, Razorclaw, and Tantrum. 6) Sharkticons. 7) Monsterbots, Doublecross, Grotusque, and Repugnus. 8) Terrorcons, Blot, Cutthrout, Rippersnapper, Sinnertwin, and Hun-grrr. 9) Decepticon Clones, Wingspan and Pounce. 10) Decepticon Headmasters, Mindwipe, Skullcruncher, Weirdwolf, Apeface, Snapdragon, and Scorponok. 11) Pretender Beasts. 12) Seacons. 13) Pretender Monsters. 14) All of Beast Wars. :twocents: :twocents: :twocents: :twocents: :twocents: :twocents: :twocents: :twocents: :twocents: |
| SirPudding07-11-07, 12:44 AM | Okay can we quit the bickering about Transformers and Thundercats please? American, Japaneses whatever the Koreans did all the hard work.:rolleye2: Okay then Has anybody found how to put Wolf's Rain style wolves in D&D? Also fishing for suggestions as to Haibane, (Haibane Renmei) Helsing style Vampires, Anybody from Escaflowne. Heck if anybody has a monster listing for Totoros, Kodamas and Chocobos I'll be much obliged:thinks: In the meantime I'll be cooking up some Miyazaki Critters |
| Ront Iron-Roar07-11-07, 03:08 AM | Saiyan... I'm sorry I never did the Kai Blast stuff but I fully believe all that comes from class abilities not anything racial. http://boards1.wizards.com/showpost.php?p=7929899#post7929899 |
| RodinGates07-11-07, 11:51 AM | I wouldn't mind seeing various Shikima in the Monster Manual and a template for Half-Shikima. Then you could make an atrocious and horrible La Blue Girl campaign. I'd imagine everyone in such a campaign has the ability to cast Evard's Black Tentacles as a supernatural ability... |
| Strogg07-11-07, 12:11 PM | well here is my atemped at an Inugami daiyōkai or a sesshoumaru like race. I dont feel like making the table so here it goes. You can look at it in table form from the Sesshoumaru post or THe Inuyasha post in the anime section but it is not updated Race: Inugami daiyōkai Type: yōkai HD:1d8 2d8 2d8 3d8 4d8 4d8 5d8 6d87d8 8d8 9d8 10d8 11d8 12d8 13d8 14d8 15d8 16d8 17d8 18d8 Base attack bounus: 3/4 HD Saves: Fortitude good. Reflex poor. Will good. speed: 40ft skill points: 3+int*4 at first lvl and 3+4 every level after first True Form: starting at level five a Inugami daiyōkai can fully transform into their true form. Transforming into their true form takes a full round action. A Inugami daiyōkai can transform as many times as they want and stay in that form for as long as they want. It effectively acts as polymorph, however no hp is gain through changing forms. Also similar to alternate form At level five an Inugami daiyōkai can transform into a large dog While in this form they gain +4str -1ac and attack bonus +2con, reach of 5ft and, claws of 1d10dmg and bite attack 1d12dmg, +4 to grapple at level 10 a Inugami daiyōkai can transform into a Huge dog and gains +6str -2 ac and attack, reach of 10ft, +4 con claws of 2d6dmg and bite of 2d8dmg +8 to grapple at level 15 a Inugami daiyōkai can transform into a Gargantuan dog and gains +8str +6 con -4 ac and attack, reach of 15ft claws of 2d8dmg and bite of 2d10dmg +12 to grapple at level 20 a Inugami daiyōkai can transform into a Colossal dog and gains +10str +8con - 8 attack/ac reach of 20ft, claws of 2d10dmd and bite of 3d8dmg +16 to grapple A level one Inugami daiyōkai also gains two claws(both hands) of 1d8 piercing and slashing dmg and Scent. Natural armor: at first level and every other level after an Inugami daiyōkai's natural armor increases by 1 Strength increase: an Inugami daiyōkai at lvl 2,lvl 4, lvl 6,lvl 9, and lvl 14 gains +2 strength (meaning basicly it goes from a total of +2 at lvl 2 to + 10 at lvl 14) Fast healing: at lvl 4 fast healing 1, lvl 8 fast healing 2, lvl 12 fast healing 3, lvl 16 fast healing 4. lvl 20 fast healing 5. Constitution increase: at lvl 3, lvl 12, and lvl 18 con increases by 2(total of +6 at lvl 18) Mokomoko- the furry part on the right shoulder when in human form that can extend to latch on to foes. Provides +2 on grapple checks. However if the mokomoko is stricken with an attack the pc takes the dmg since the mokomoko is a physical part of the being. i might grant that the mokomoko can grant 1/2 wis modifier if the person is wearing no or light armor Other notes: an Inugami daiyōkai is so adept at using their claws they use full str bonus instead of half, an Inugami daiyōkai has dark vision 60ft and natural weapons proficiency here is what i did for the yōkai hit die: d8 skill points: 3+(int) per hit die -dark vision 60ft -natural weapons proficiency -simple weapons proficiency -martial weapons proficiency attack bonus (as cleric) good fortitude and will plus 50 percent holy dmg (they are still considered evil due to being an youkai) alignment:any but mostly chaotic and tend to be on the evil side Ability to use unholy weapons Any spell that does dmg to evil also can dmg an Yokai can not use holy weapons or holy things of any kind immunity to unholy dmg , shadow land taint resistance (+2 on taint saves) |
| Manyfist07-11-07, 05:16 PM | Has anybody found how to put Wolf's Rain style wolves in D&D? I think all of them were awaken wolves (Including the Half-Breed, she's more flavor than mechanics) with a Psi-ability of False Sensory, Input as a spell like ability @will. However they're limited to Human form only. Another way to put it is that they have a Disguise spell (illusion) on them at all times. |
| Potato_Dragon07-12-07, 04:53 AM | Two words: Half-Pokemon. |

As for those who are arguing weather it is japanese or american, Marvel was the first company to publish a Transformers comic (therefore creating them) in 1984, where japan then created a TV series in september of that year. |

| Fafnir07-12-07, 04:04 PM | I wouldn't mind seeing various Shikima in the Monster Manual and a template for Half-Shikima. Then you could make an atrocious and horrible La Blue Girl campaign. I'd imagine everyone in such a campaign has the ability to cast Evard's Black Tentacles as a supernatural ability... Two words: Half-Pokemon. The goggles! They do NOTHING! |
| Prime3207-12-07, 04:08 PM | Fafnir, there's a half-voltorb behind you... :P |
| Fafnir07-12-07, 04:48 PM | Fafnir, there's a half-voltorb behind you... :P You mean a hemisphere? :P |
| Potato_Dragon07-13-07, 04:28 AM | Yeah. A hemisphere with legs. :D |
| TheCrawlingSpleen07-13-07, 12:56 PM | Two words: Half-Pokemon. :uh-huh: Must...not...think on it. |
| Potato_Dragon07-13-07, 03:07 PM | Not a race, per se, but more like a template: Jusenkyo-cursed. "Oh, sir, you fall in spring! Is very tragic story of floaty-monster what drown here ten year ago. Now anyone who fall in take body of flumph! Is very cursed spring." :D |
| Strogg07-15-07, 07:31 PM | hey would anyone know what Naraku from the Inuyasha anime and manga be? |
| TheCrawlingSpleen07-24-07, 02:12 AM | I know they're not exactly playable, but has anybody here attempted to stat chiropteran vampires? Before anyone asks, yes, Chiroptera is the scientific name for bats so chiropteran vampire is a slightly redundant term, but I don't make these names up. |
| Shayde07-24-07, 02:38 AM | Half Pokemon??? GAH!!!! I close my eyes and I still see it!!! I got a fair collection of anime 80s cartoons etc... I can't think of anything specific right now I'd like to see, but a Team Troma movie is kind of like watching a live action cartoon with nudity and excessive violence that puts most anime I've seen to shame. And on that note I'd like to see some kind of race or template based off of the Toxic Avenger. |
| Crave07-24-07, 03:06 AM | Not a race, per se, but more like a template: Jusenkyo-cursed. "Oh, sir, you fall in spring! Is very tragic story of floaty-monster what drown here ten year ago. Now anyone who fall in take body of flumph! Is very cursed spring." :D I don't know who you are, but you just quoted Ranma 1/2. And for this, I love you, like a comrade loves his brother in arms. Any body got stats on the anime school girl race? Or is that a class? How about the School girl outfit as a magic item set? Including S.O.S. Brigade armband as a weapon of legacy? |
| skydin07-24-07, 04:00 AM | a schoolgirl weapon of legacy? what would that be |
| Amnuan07-24-07, 04:00 AM | Alter-User from s-CRY-ed? |
| skydin07-24-07, 04:36 AM | someone made templates for those, but it was a long time ago, and i dont remember who it was... |
| Angel Black07-24-07, 03:30 PM | hey would anyone know what Naraku from the Inuyasha anime and manga be? Base race: Human (asian bandit variant) Template: Posessed Half-fiend or Half Fiend with binder like levels Clases: Rogue/Fighter/Wu Jen Level: about 20 To build Chiropterans(Blood+): Dumb ones: Evil Hungry Zombie like. Chevaliers: Were Vampire (as werewolf) + levels of a half-fiend like template. "Mothers" as Chevaliers with some differences. All Chiropteans can use and hear ultrasounds. |
| Lawlicron07-24-07, 03:36 PM | Hey look! I found where this thread should go! http://boards1.wizards.com/forumdisplay.php?f=444 |
