Need two good templates that equal up to +5 or 6 combined for a upcoming campaign

Edit after Evilvegan post.

For something gishish. Good melee and casting

Um, you're going to need to be WAAAAY more specific than that.

Do you want a fighter/caster/skill character?

Furthermore, do you want to be a power-attacking fighter, a mobile fighter, an archer, a divine combat caster, a divine archer, a divine healer, an arcane archer, an arcane utility caster, an arcane blaster, an arcane summoner, a divine summoner, a sneak attack skillmonkey, a buffing skill-monkey, a totally-spies skill-monkey . . . ?

Seriously, worse open-ended question ever!

That being said, two-headed is the bestest template in the world. My vote always goes to two-headed, fire-breathing, winged gnome

Half-Fey Shadow Creature.

Great natural Flight speed (take one feat to get it at Perfect maneuverability), scaling abilities by HD from both templates, Darkvision + low-light vision, plenty of immunities and resistances and spell-likes and other goodies.

Winged Half-Dragon might make a viable character.

I'd recommend White Dragonspawn (Dragonlance) Mineral Warrior (Underdark) Half-Celestial (MM), assuming they can actually be applied (as I'm away from book ATM).

LA +6, +8 to con and +2 to +4 to most other stats (+6 to cha, i think, though i could be wrong), +1 to Sorcerer spellcasting, +A LOT natural armor, DR 8/adamantine, DR 5-10/magic, decent Spell Resistance, spell-like abilities, decent fly speed, and probably a few extras I don't remember.

Combine with a basic gish sorcerer build (Kobold if you can, using the Greater Ritual of Draconic Cheese in the Web enhancement for Races of the Dragon.

I'm assuming you're getting the LA for free as part of the campaign? If not (if you're really trying to construct a gish build), I'd seriously recommend taking White Dragonspawn AT MOST, and avoiding any and all other forms of LA that don't actually advance spellcasting.

Spellcasting can make up for lost melee capabilities, but melee capabilities can't make up for lost spellcasting.

Unusualsuspect's suggestion is a good one, although the OP stated two templates, not three. EDIT: Also what the poster after me said (Taureus).

Another one is Spellwarped Half-Dragon.

+12 Str
+6 Int
+6 Con
+2 Dex
+2 Cha

+6 NA

And a neat Spell Absorption SR-based ability. Plus all the Half-Dragon traits.

Except for the fact you lose flight for having Mineral Warrior.

And you would have to be Half-Celestial before you could be a Mineral Warrior.

Half-Fey, Half-Celestial?

Maybe an Archon and a Nymph boinked, or something.

I like Half-Ogre and Half Dragon. For a +5 LA you get +14 to Str and the half dragons bonuses negate some of the Half Ogre's penalties. The large size means you get wings and a fly speed as well. Oh, the +8 to natural AC isn't too shabby either. The strength more than makes up for the lack of BAB from the LA. To get really sick, go Barbarian 5 and then take up the War Hulk PrC (Miniatures Handbook).

Half-Ogre is a LA +2 race, not a template.

Not sure if the OP needs strictly templates, but that's what they asked for.

Half minotaur+half dragon then. But it is just LA+4...:P

How many half races or templates can you have? I thought it was just one.

You can add templates if you do a rebuild quest as per PHB2.
