Hopefully an Admin or someone who was at the Gen Con can answer this or I just might have to wait till next year when the books come out. But does anyone know how 4th Edition is going to affect Dragon PC's as described in Dragon Magazine issues #320 and #332

I would assume by Dragon PCs you mean actual dragons, not some half-thingywotsits.

Considering that dragons will almost certainly fall into the line 'monsters' and they've said that monsters have not been designed for use as PCs, I think the answer to the question of dragon PCs is "not freakin' likely."

Heck, they said Goblins for example, aren't getting much treatment for PC status in the core, so draw your conclusion from that.

Same here. I looked everywhere to buy a copy of those two Dragon issues. I am currently having a ball with my first copper dragon PC, but very soon those rules will be completely useless and obsolete. :weep:

It would be splendid to see the 4ed version of Council of Wyrms. It could cover the rules of dragon PCs. Because dragons are the superb species and they should have a chance to be played. :D

I'm pretty sure that they said anyone who wanted to would easily be able to make a goblin PC just using the PHB and MM.

Draconomicon has rules for dragon PCs, including making adjustments as characters age, dragon items, weapons and armor, dragon feats and skills, plus a bunch of Dragon species not found in other books. I guess it would be cheaper to get the magazines, though. Personally, I prefer the books, since I forget things often and they're easier to keep track of. I just wish they weren't so dang expensive.

The above is true but not accurate in reference to 4rth edition speculation.
