Tigerblooded

Physical Description:
Tigerblooded are a subrace of humans who over several generations have used various magics and rituals to infuse themselves with tiger blood, gaining an appearance halfway between a Rakshasa and a Human. Tigerblooded vary in how human-like or tiger-like they appear, but generally they have a prehensile tail (that is not strong enough to wield weapons or aid in balancing), tiger fur resembling that of a normal tiger or a snow tiger over at least half of their body, cat-like eyes, clawed fingers, and small but pronounced fangs.

Racial Traits:

-Ability Modifiers:+2 Dex, -2 Cha, Tigerblooded inherit the swiftness and dexterity of a tiger, but their half-breed appearance and animalistic nature harm their social skills.

-Medium Size: Tigerblooded gain all the benefits and penalties of a medium sized creature.

-Base Land Speed: 40ft

-Clawed Fingers: Although a Tigerblooded's hands are still the same size and strength of an ordinary humans, the clawed fingers allow them to deal piercing and slashing damage as opposed to bludgeoning damage with their unarmed strikes if they so choose. They can still deal bludgeoning damage as normal by balling their hands into fists.

-Low Light Vision: Tigerblooded have eyes similar to that of other felines, which can see much farther in poor lighting conditions then a human.

-Favored Class: Any, Tigerblooded are still mostly human and retain their versatility. (this is mostly because I hate the idea of major exp penalties based on what race you choose)

-Level Adjustment: +0

New Feats

Tiger Maw
Prerquisites: Tigerblooded
Description: Your jaws grow and mature to the point that they are as pronounced as those of a tiger.
Benefit: You gain a natural bite attack which deals 1d6 damage for a medium creature.
Normal: The jaws of a Tigerblooded are not large enough to be effective for performing bite attacks.

Feral Rage
Prerquisites: Tigerblooded, Rage, BAB +3
Description: When raging, your physical form changes to become more tiger-like and you become completely feral and tuned in to your tiger instincts.
Benefit: In addition to the normal benefits you gain two claw attacks which deal 1d4 damage for a medium creature, and the ability to pounce on your foe if you make a charge attack, attacking with both claws at no penalty.
Normal: A Barbarians rage does not affect their physical form or grant them a pounce attack.

Well, what do you guys think?

P.S. The censored part of the race name in the title starts with an 'h' and is the genus of the human species (comes before sapien). Did not predict it would be censored and now I can't change it.

It's not an La+0 race, just use a shifter.

What makes you think it's not balanced for LA +0?

And except for the feral rage feat, they're not any more like shifters then any other race with animal qualities.

fluff wise they're okay, but chunch wise they are way stronger than shifters, as it would take a shifter several levels and feats spent to achieve those same abilities, and there is also the fact that shifting is temporary.

Just use shifter stats with the appearence and history of Tigrises.
Or give Tigrises LA+1.

Looks good, although feral rage seems pretty powerful. Pounce is a very powerful ability, although they cannot use weapons so it probably balances out. Other than that, which isn't even really part of the class, its good.

I agree with Bluehero. This seems a balanced race... the racial bonuses are not exceptionally powerful (but handy all the same) and the ability to pounce with natural weapons at the expense of a feat does not seem too extreme.

Although I do think flavor wise, that, like a shifter, they might have risen from the breeding of lycanthropic weretigers and humans rather than by rituals and magic.

If you were to put them at LA +1, then it seems as though they'd be on the weak side. I'd add more if I did that.

This really looks like a strong side LA +0 race to me, though.

As a comparison, check out the Felinis-Catfolk in my sig. I've got several people agreeing that that's an LA +1 race.

I'm inclined to say it's overpowered, but it seem slike it's a medium-sized goblin...but then again the only penalty is to dinky charisma, and it's got a dexterity bonus and 40 feet base landspeed.

That's a scary combination.

I'd suggest just replacing the charisma penalty with an intelligence penalty. They inherit the speed and agility of a tiger, but lose a bit of their self-awareness and reasoning capability as result.

Even Then, they're still gonna be FLYING around as Barbarians and Monks.

Overall, it seems too strong for LA+0, but too weak for LA+1.
