ODDin 05-28-07, 01:22 PM	Where can I find information about the results of cross-breeding between races, if it exists at all? For instance, there are half-elves and half-orcs, with the other part being human, but how about half-orc and half-elf? I've seen some custom races dealing with specific cases, but that can't really cover all the possibilites, especially considering that lots of supplements spawn new races (Expanded Psionics Handbook, Magic of Incarnum, and then there are Races of... and environment series, etc etc...).
AMGriffin 05-28-07, 02:11 PM	Half-elves and Half-orcs are half-human, but there's nothing really human about them...and they both mechanically suck. They could probably use some human-like abilities. The MM has templates for half-dragons, half-celestials, and half-fiends that can be applied to a wide variety of creatures. Outside of the PHB you can find half-ogres, half-dwarves (Called Muls), and templates for Half-Trolls, Half-Fey, Half-elementals, half-vampires, and many more I'm certain. Bastards and Bloodlines, which is a book produced by a third party company offers TONS of half-breeds, with some especially weird ones (Human/Gnolls, Elf/Unicorns, drow/ogre mages, and many more) But there are no official rules for mixing two races.
