A Stronger Half-Dragon Breath Weapon? [Archive] - Wizards Community

08-13-07, 09:55 PM A friend in my campaign is playing a half-silver dragon and he is quite happy about it. However, we are getting high enough in levels that 6d8 damage is not as impressive as it used to be.

To help him out, I was curious if there is anything(feat, spell, ect.) in a book that would increase the damage range of his breath weapon?

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

08-13-07, 11:01 PM The Dragon Breath feat (RoDrg) gets a Half-dragon unlimited use breath weapon but they still must wait 1d4 rnds between each use.

There are Empower and Maximize Breath Weapon feats in the Draconomicron. Check out the breath weapon feats in Races of the Dragon too.

The Dragon Spirit Cincture (MIC) increases breath weapon damage by 1 dice. Perhaps a DM would allow a more expensive "Greater" version of it.

08-13-07, 11:10 PM Cool, thank you very much. I should of checked the Draconomicon better. :embarrass I will tell my half-dragon friend about the Empower and Maximize Breath Weapon feats. :)

I will also ask my DM about making a stronger Dragon Spirit Cincture. Luckily I am the artificer player in my group and my DM is cool & allowed me to make some custom items before. So I am sure as long as we work out the correct price, he will have no problem with me building one.

08-14-07, 03:25 AM The Dragon Samurai PrC from mini's HB adds on to the Half-dragons breath. Drop a nice fat maximized 16d8 on those bums :evillaugh: My DM banned me from playing Half-dragons after that. It's not my fault his Drow Blackgaurd didn't have 139 hp.
